From PayPal's website, on 9/17/00:
"All of PayPal's services are free."
No kidding. I guess when PayPal decides to change policies, they do not bother to go through their web site and remove the old rules. Pretty unprofessional - and confusing.
I found that quote tonight while searching their web site for info on funding accounts. I figured as long as I was there, I should read up a bit. You can find that statement at:
https://secure.paypal.x.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/hlp/help_global#over2
"Will I get charged for making electronic transfers from my PayPal account to my bank account?
No. PayPal will not charge you for making transfers from your PayPal account to your bank account. All of PayPal's services are free. However, some banks charge their customers a fee and PayPal can make no assurances that you will not get charged by your bank. Please consult your bank and ask whether it charges for electronic fund transfers."
Hmmm. Looks like PayPal needs to spend a few days getting their ducks in a row. There are terms being changed left and right, definitions not being made (so just what IS a business?), etc.
So when was the last time PayPal had anything to say on AW - that one statement that was plastered on every thread was the last thing I saw....anything since?

LOL. Mebbe this explains why every Paypal customer service rep seems to provide a different answer -- all the answers are *somewhere* on their website.
It's free. It's not free. Upgrade if you sell anything. Upgrade if you have 30 transactions per day. Upgrade if you have 30 transactions per month. Don't upgrade. You're being forced to upgrade. You're not being forced to upgrade. You might be forced to upgrade in the future. We won't force you to upgrade in the future.

The new logos are compliant. Yes they are. We checked. Ebay told us personally. They're not compliant but Ebay has agreed not to end YOUR auctions. Hey, we're only human.

Alfafa trivia for you.
Alfafa got into an argument in a bar over some money. The argument lead to a fight in which he was mortally wounded. As he lay dying his last words were, "You owe me $50 and I WANT IT RIGHT NOW!"
