TOTAL B.S.
This is Marek from BidPay and PAYPALDAMON this message is directed at you!
"You, meaning PayPal mailed this information to your customers?"
AND BIDPAY CHARGES $5.00 !!!!!!!
You are waaaaaaaay "WAY" over the line here.
The context of your message is CLEAR "fee's to SELLERS"... you quote x.com (which charges fee's to sellers), you quote Billpoint (which charges fee's to sellers) and then... you quote, pardon me...
YOU MISQUOTE "and BidPay charges $5.00"
THAT IS A CROCK DAMON AND "YOU KNOW IT"
That is designed to be misleading and deceiptive and WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR A RETRACTION AND CLARIFICATION IN WRITING BY THE SAME METHODS THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE WAS DELIVERED.
COUNT ON IT !!!!
BidPay DOES NOT CHARGE THE SELLERS "ANY" FEE's.
WE NEVER HAVE
WE NEVER WILL
PERIOD, PLAIN AND SIMPLE
NO FANCY DOUBLE TALK
NO MISLEADING OR SUGGESTIVE STATEMENTS
ALL WE OFFER SELLERS IS A 100% PAYMENT GUARANTEE WITH "NO CHARGEBACKS"
Other companies charge twice as much — a $50 payment with X.com costs $1.20; with Billpoint the cost is $2.34; and Bidpay charges $5.00.

Once more with feeling....
While I appreciate you are obviously upset with comments made previously, I might remind you (and everyone else at the same time) that posts should be guided at all times by basic etiquette.
Please give Damon the same consideration you receive from our Community when posting as a representative of BidPay.

Michelle, agreed and to Damon, I realize you didn't write that 'mis-statement" and you are stuck in the middle.
Sorry Damon... it really isn't personal and I will take it to corporate.

i went to their page and saw the info on pricing if they dont charge sellers then the buyers would have to cough up the fees seems kinda misleading to me

No, it's not misleading at all. They NEVER charge the seller a fee. Ever. I use them routinely and have never been charged a fee.
The buyer pays a fee for a Western Union money order, just the same as if he/she went to Western Union and bought one. But by using BidPay, the buyer is speeding up the transaction considerably, especially if they are outside the US.
BidPay is VERY clear about the charges (that the buyer pays). There is nothing misleading or shady in their dealings at all, which is certainly more than I can say for PrayPal.

And I am sure most of the "buyers" using paypal are paying the "fees" too, indirectly in the starting bid or otherwise.

I wouldn't say that. As a seller who, until VERY recently, had a merchant account and knows how expensive credit card processing is, I *never* increased my opening bids to cover what PayPal charges. By the way, PayPal charges a FRACTION of what merchant account holders pay. Yes, I upgraded to Premier status. I read the notice that was sent out in June (I think). Sellers who increase their opening bids to cover any fees they may incur aren't very honorable, in my opinion. An honorable seller will maintain their "usual" opening bids and not inflate their shipping charges, either.
As for Damon, he has nothing but kudo's from me. He was instrumental in getting a problem taken care of for me.
