What is going on with PayPal today? My inbox has been "temporarily unavailable" all day. I also get these errors that there is a lot of usage at the site, even since 7am! I've been using PayPal for months with no problems, but now this! Does anyone have the phone number or an email address to contact them? Thanks!

It's not just you, it's everyone...and I'm sure it is due to the "upgrades" they were doing yesterday which had the site down all day.

I recieved that message yesterday too but I was fooling around and hit history or maybe show all transactions and they all showed up.
I could access and do everything. Just not view the inbox on the opening page
Bizzare

Ditto what Pandora said. Hit your history button and you will see everything--I checked that out, and then an email came from a buyer saying she had just paid me via PayPal, and I went back and refreshed the history button--payment showed up instantly.

It's been out for a few days now. Be sure to ck it though as buyer's are paying via Pay Pal very quickly. A good time to keep up with shipping where possible and avoid the holiday crunch...best of luck.

Here it is. I digged 'em out in Germany and it worked:
PayPal Customer Service 402-935208
But you have to be patient. It took me hours to catch a free line and there was a long waiting period with a lady mumbling always the same boring phrase before my call was picked up by a friendly guy who unfortunately did not know what's going on.

Warning!!! Please during the down time of paypal, check your history folder!!!!! I know it is a pain since the inbox (and trust me I just posted a message about it) is down...but ANYONE can make a "you got cash" email!
This was the perfect time for buyers to pounce. Ever notice that the "you got cash" email from paypal has the email of the person buying the item as the sender?
The sender does not come up as paypal! It comes up as the buyers email. How easy it would be to copy and past a old one, and fill in the right info to suit your needs. Then just send it along to the seller.
So please sellers, if you have not checked your history folder since it is a pain..you should. Or you could get scammed.

Paypal Phone # 1-(800) 836-1859
This is the number I was using up til a few weeks ago- I assume that it is still good.
Paypal is making me very antsy! I am looking for other services. I have even have 2 recent customers switch to MO rather than use Paypal as they originally indicated.
ProPay- with straightforward fees and being an actual true credit card transactions is looking better every minute.Fees are a part of doing business.
