WEll, I have only been with ExchangePath for about a
month- and received only TWO payments. Then, yesterday
(Sunday) I get an email about another payment (my third)-
I click on the link within 30 minutes of the email being
sent- only to get a message that says my account has
been suspended! Yes, suspended. So, I call Exchangepath,
send emails- NO REPLY! Finally, after 3 emails and two
phone calls, I receive a canned email response (sort of like
ebay's) that says it's been suspended because I either
didn't provide a credit card # or my billing is out of the U.S.
NEITHER of which is valid in my case! So, they say I need
to re-apply. Well, re-applying means I can't get the same
username because it gives me another error message that
says "user name already in use"- so I would have to get
another user name- and they tell me the three payments I
HAD, I CANNOT HAVE ANY LONGER! That's right, I can't get
to the money I had! And they won't reply to my emails or
anything after that! So, what the heck is going on? What
kind of scam are they pulling!???
Whatever anyone does, do NOT use ExchangePath! If you
have to take credit cards- go with PayPal or Billpoint- a
company that can answer questions and has SECURITY!
It's my understanding ExchangePath has little security and
can't even validate credit card payments until after the
fact, when they tell you you have to give the money back!
If anyone else is having this problem let me know!

Word is that everyone that did not confirm with a credit
card when they signed up has had their account
suspended. Keep trying to contact them, and they will
unsuspend your account so you can add a credit card.
Ah the dangers of using these third party payment
services. Nothing like giving NOTICE to their members, huh?

happened! What a joke!

I cannot warn you guys often enough.....do not use
exchangepath. I had a credit card on file with them, a Visa
check card actually. Last weekend, someone managed to
hack into my account and send themselves plenty of my
money. Basically cleaned out my checking account. When I
reported this to them, they suspended my account, taking
with them a nice payment I had received from a bidder.
They are absolutely no help recovering my funds, only
referring me to my bank to straighten this mess out. Of
course, this is to be expected in any case of cc fraud.
What I am trying to warn you is that exchangepath has a
serious breech in security and by placing a cc on file with
them, you open yourselves up to the same thing that
happened to me. I know everyone hears these stories, and
everyone thinks it cannot happen to them. Well, believe
me, it can and does happen to oridinary people all the time,
and the time and money it winds up costing is worth so
much more than what benefit you actually receive from
this company.
Take from this story what you will, but think twice before you give out your cc info to this
company.
