I JUST GOT AN EMAIL SAYS THEY NO LONGER TAKE MASTERCARD?????To our International PayPal members,
Effective today, December 20, 2000, MasterCard will no longer allow
PayPal to support withdrawals to your MasterCard debit or credit card.
If you have already confirmed your MasterCard and wish to withdraw
funds, we encourage you to register and confirm a Visa debit or credit
card to complete your withdrawals.
In addition, PayPal will also be extending our bank account withdrawals
to Canadian bank accounts beginning on January 7, 2001. If you do not
have a Visa card to which you wish to withdraw funds, we encourage you
to electronically withdraw funds directly to your Canadian bank account
beginning on January 7.
Please note that your ability to send funds with your confirmed
MasterCard debit or credit card will be unaffected. You can still
continue to send funds without interruption.
We apologize for this inconvenience. We hope to be able to start
allowing MasterCard withdrawals again beginning April, 2001. If you
have any questions regarding this new MasterCard policy, or wish to
further inquire about withdrawing your PayPal funds, please contact us

you don't understand. master card won't allow you to *WITHDRAW* money from paypal by crediting the amount. you can still send money with mastercard

I just love watching Chicken Little running around screaming the sky is falling. I guess it's even more fun when you show them the acorn they thought was a piece of the sky.
