Hi all,
This was on your account recently after you logged in, but I do think it is worth revisiting.
Online Safety Tips
While most online activity is perfectly safe, there are some would-be cyber crooks out there. Fortunately, staying out of harm's way is usually a matter of common sense. Here are a few tips that should help you keep your login information safe so all of your transactions remain safe and sound.
Be careful when anyone sends you a link they claim is from PayPal. Make sure that the URL for the website actually says "www.paypal.com" and not something similar, even if the web page itself looks like PayPal's. Don't let a cyber-impostor try to trick you out of your username and password with an imitation website!
Don't include sensitive information in your emails. Your PayPal account lets you pay others without giving them with your checking account or credit card information, so always be sure to keep this information secret. And never, ever send your PayPal password to anyone (since PayPal's representatives will never ask you for this information).
Login to PayPal to confirm that you've received a payment. Check your Transaction History after you receive PayPal's "you've got cash" message to confirm that the transaction's status is complete.
And if you're ever worried that that you revealed your login information to someone, be sure to change your PayPal password immediately and contact us at [email protected].
