C2it is free for the first three months. After that the charge the buyer not the seller. If you use a Citibank card, it is only 1%.
Don't think that any service will remain free forever.
Buyers:
Don't think that if the service charges the seller, it is free for you. The sellers will be adding the fee into the cost one way or another.

No charge to accept the money. Just charged if you want it.
*There are no transaction fees when payment is applied to a U.S. credit card or bank account. A fee will be charged if you elect to have a check issued to you by c2it.

Wrong. The only charge is if you want a check mailed to you. There is no charge for receiving it as either a credit on your card or a deposit to your bank account (and it can even be a non-citibank card or account).

The internet bubble has bursted. It doesn't make sense to receive a service for free. However, the initial surge of the internet got us used to free lunches. Unfortunately, the real world has hit cyberspace.
Frankly, I'd rather pay for a good service than not pay for a bad one.
