I am getting a new computer - yippee -. Obviously, I will need to transfer my AW program and files to the new computer. Can I just copy the program & files from Windows Explorer onto a disk and then copy that to the new computer?

Hello,
As long as you copy the entire thing onto a disk large enough to hold all of it, it should work. Otherwise, you could manually move over only your stored batches and inventory if needed, however you can risk losing information sometimes when trying it that way.
If you have a large enough disk devise to move all of it, do it that way.

I have tried to do this and it has never worked for me. I believe I was even told by Chris that it couldn't be done. Did this change? If it is possible let me know how since one of the reasons I use a new service for all of the items we have added to our inventory is to be able to have control over our work and not have to worry about another crash with your system that deleted half of my inventory from ampro.

Hello Bargainprincess,
If you are using a zip disk you should be able to copy the program to it. If you try this again, make sure you also transfer the ampro kit that you use to install the program.

Maybe you should just re-install AWPro and copy over the Batches folder and the Data folder.(Any others?) We've got AWPro on a few machines that are networked and are constantly copying and pasting the most current folders into the right place.
