OK, before I go any further with listing through your service I need to know WHY there are big ugly lines on my ad and they are links to other services???

Are you guys doing it or is Ebay doing it. If you are doing it and I cannot stop it I will not use your service anymore even though i really do like it.

I was very disappointed to see the Las Vegas for city have a link to take people to an online casino and the credit card wording for Paypal takes them to a merchant account.

I find ads very very very annoying and don't want my customers to think I am doing this!!!

Please let me know if it is you or Ebay so I will know which way to go. I have just deleted the words "credit card" from my ad so that one will disappear but don't know what to do about Vegas. Lie I guess and say I am from somewhere else?

Hi Lindajean,

Which ad are you referring to? I checked out the latest one that you launched and didn't get any lines accross it, or any of the links you were talking about.

They are gone now, but it was there when I went to check my latest ad.

It is even showing up on my computer now in the original message I posted above. Credit card, casino, and Las Vegas has a line under it and will take you to an ad.

Is this something some other company may have put on my computer? I am always deleting ad pop up type things attached to nearly everything I do these days. Is it not really there for everyone? Do you have any idea where it is coming from?

The links are back! I just had to wait for the whole page to load before it would show up. It is a yellowish line under Las Vegas at the top which takes you to a casino ad like the one on this page.

The other one is a line under credit card which takes you to a merchant account. It is on all my ads I checked.

Hi LindaJean,

I am looking at this ad:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1188314317

I do not see a yellow line under Las Vegas, and there are no links that I can find that lead me to any of the pages you described. Are you using the AOL browser? Try looking at your ads on a different browser and let me know if you still get the weird links.

When I click on the link you provided it is still there. It is very slow loading today and you do have to wait until it is completely through, but then the Las Vegas has the line and so does the "credit card" wording under ad.

I use Explorer through my cable connection. I am going to go check it out now through my AOL connection and see if it is still there with it also.

When I view my listings through AOL the links are not there. They still appear when using explorer through the cable modem.

I am sorry I jumped to conclusions about these being generated through AW. I was just so surprised and disappointed when I saw them I didn't know what to do! I am going to try and change the wording on my ad default and see if I can make it go away just in case others using our cable service can still get them.

Let me know if you come up with any explanations.
Thanks,
Linda
