How do I add an item to the gallery. ( on ebay) I want to have a little picture icon before my auction listing.

I see that if I go to profile I can click the button that says "add my item to the gallery: $0.25"

Then it allows me to click a dropdown that is blank. I dont use auction watch for image hosting since I have my own web site.

There must be a place that I enter in the location of a jpeg, correct?

Thanks,

Hi cjrent,

Unfortunately, the only images we can submit to the eBay gallery for you are ones that you have stored here at AuctionWatch.

You will need to add this image into your image hosting in Pro first, then select it to be added to your listing. eBay will make a duplicate of that image when it does go live and host it there instead, at which time you can delete it from your image hosting unless you wanted to use it in another Gallery option/listing.

Then it will cost me another $0.10 per listing wont it? And it is too late for me to subscribe to the $200 per year plan with image hosting included.

Hi,

No, you list your auctions via Pro, correct? If you list using our services, there are no image hosting only fees.

OK good deal, thanks for your quick reply. Now if only these darn nextag pop up ads that you guys had going would just go away. They pop up at every screen change!

I am still a little lost. Do I have to add that in my profile? That would be a little much to create a profile for each item. I know how to upload it using the image bar but I dont see where to add it in the inventory items.

Hello,

Only add the gallery option to your profile if you will be wanting to use this in all of your auctions.

Once you have made that image available in Pro, when you create a new listing or move an item from Pro, you can go to the second tab and select the image you wish to include as the gallery image from that drop down menu.

I am normally very quick with these sort of things but, I do want to us it in most of my auctions but each item will need a different image. I have one profile set up. It seems to me that I need to go to the profile manager and add it there.

If I change that default profile then that wont work will it? I have 700 different items with 700 different pictures, do I need to make a profile for each?

I have not been able to find instructions on this in the help files, that is why I am bothering you.

I even went to the profile manager and clicked add my item to the gallery, and the drop down was still empty. I had uploaded one image to try.

Hi Cjrent,

Images will only appear in that drop-down menu if they are in the .jpg format. I'm not clear on why you are using a profile if all your items are different. You do not need to create a profile to use the Gallery option.

I have loaded one .jpg up there but it still doesnt appear in the drop down.

I am using a profile because I dont host my images with you. I write html and bring them in from my website.

Hi Cjrent,

I believe in order to place an image in the gallery from AMPro you need to have the image in your image hosting and attached to the auction. This is the only way it will appear in the drop-down menu.
