Well Chris, thank you for offering to let Ebay pay for AW's mistake, but they respectfully decline. Now, what? Have you got someone else at Ebay I can ask...or do I get to pay for AW mistake? I wonder how the others who this happened to are handling it? Would like to hear if you got a response out of Ebay different than mine. Thanks, Baylor45

Just to get the word from eBay directly, I contacted them on this exact issue. Here is what eBay had to say :

"Hello Christopher,

Thank you for writing eBay with your question.

Yes, you can request an insertion fee credit if you have made a mistake
and need to end your auction.

If you canceled the listing without a high bidder(s), please send the
information listed below to our Billing Team:

* The item number(s) of the ended auction(s)
* Your seller's email address or User ID
* The reason for your request

Please send this information using our online webform found at:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/select-support.html

Thanks again for your email, Christopher.
