Tonight I have launched 3 auctions with more to do but not until this is fixed. I checked them and all 3 have photo problems. The first photo on each one is not centered as well as it is saying the following...

ALT="Image Hosting by auctionwatch.com"

Why would it all of a sudden decide to do this as it hasn't before. I've done nothing different and this hasn't showed up on my auctions before. I tried to revise each of the auctions but for some reason I keep having problems trying to do that. Not only on my computer but on another computer as well, so it's not my puter.

These are the item numbers involved.
Item #1293091552
Item #1293092533
Item #1293092537

Please check this and tell me what is to be done and also how to prevent this from continuing. As I stated this is the first photo problem. I have more auctions to list but when I saw this I decided not to do anything.

Thank you,

Kajn'

Hello Kajin,

Just to verify, you haven't changed anything in your HTML for your item descriptions or default text since the last time you listed auctions have you? Perhaps a new logo, or otherwise?

I checked the listing, and all of the HTML appears to be correct upon initial inspection. I will continue to work on this with you, let me know if there is any part in particular I should look at, if any recent changes were made.

Hi Christopher,

I did make some changes earlier today to revamp the way my auctions looked but kept all my templetts, picture location, etc. the same.

I changed the text between...

YOUR BIDDING ON THE STUNNING PLANT IN THE PHOTO!!
and...
My Gallery Logo.

All the rest is the same as far as I can remember.

The 3 item numbers I gave AW a bit ago I finally was able to revise them, but took me nearly an hour to do that b/c it didn't want to accept it for some reason, but that isn't a new problem, it's always that way. A real pain! I have several more auctions to launch...should I wait or should I launch them as planned so you can see what they look like?

Thanks,

Kajn'

Hi Kajin'

Go ahead and list another item, and let us know how it turns out. If you only changed simple text, and none of your code then everything should list correctly as it did before.

Perhaps there was only a temporary glitch when eBay processed your items.

Let us know the results of your efforts.

Would it be easier if I mailed you the exact section I changed so you can look at the html? Let me know and I can send it to you as an attachment. I work in M/Soft Office.

Thanks,

I did a bulk listing and I don't know how to list only one, I will go ahead and list them all and keep my fingers crossed. If need be I can still email you the changes.

Thanks,

Thought I'd mention that I like my photos in the center of the page under each other evenly and that's usually the way they launch until the ones tonight. Never do they have the verbage sticking out like it does next to photo number 1.

Please check - thanks,
Kajn'

Not to bombard you with all these questions but I was just thinking. The area of the auctions that aren't functioning properly is not an area that I can do anything with such as change the verbage, or something of that sort. We choose a templet, then a picture and click launch. Even if I were to have changed some html text, or a logo how would that interfere with the first picture of each launched auction? Asking since it don't make any sense to me but I'm not 100% with these programs.

Thanks,

Christopher,

I will be away from my computer for about an hour but will check your messages as soon as I get back. I hope you can clear this up for me as it seems simple enough. I just don't know if there is something on my end that needs to be done or your end.

Please advise and all the rest of my auctions launched and all were with the same problem with unwanted verbage sticking out from the first photo.

Thanks,

13 hours later and still no fix with this problem. Can someone help to find out why this unwanted/unsightly verbage is all of a sudden showing up on my auction pages. I doubt I changed anything that would hamper a photograph since I'm not able to do any tampering with that since that is on the templett.

Please advise as this looks awful.

Okay I'm getting FED UP WITH THIS...

I listed another auction just now it did the same thing. I went in to revise it and this is what I had to do in order to make it correct.

I had to GO INTO REVISION and delete the BAD HTML that arrives from the blank templetts I'm trying to use.

I had to go into manage images and choose the photo and select that html and go back to the revision area on the auction and insert it. However I then had to revamp YOUR HTML OF THE SECOND IMAGE OF THE TEMPLETT I'M USING by adding numerous items such as <center>, etc. I have copied and pasted the old and new verbage for making this work. I can't and won't go through all of my auctions to do this crap.

NOW WILL YOU PEOPLE GET IT TOGETHER OR WHAT?

EXAMPLES BELOW OF WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

OLD HTML THAT DIDN'T LIST CORRECTLY...
FROM ITEM #1293164396
(NO CHANGES MADE FOR YOUR REFERENCE)

<center>
<p><IMG BORDER=1 SRC=http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/kajnrose/bchippodamia.jpg> ALT="Image Hosting by auctionwatch.com" <br>
<BR><BR><IMG BORDER=1 SRC=http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/kajnrose/blhippo1103.jpg ALT="Image Hosting by auctionwatch.com" ></p>

</center>

THIS HTML MAKES IT WORK PROPERLY....
THIS IS FROM ITEM #1293360489
(MADE CORRECTIONS USING THIS HTML)

<p><center><img src="http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/kajnrose/rodbatemani.jpg" ALT="Image Hosting by auctionwatch.com" ></center>

<BR><BR><center><IMG BORDER=1 SRC=http://imagehost.auctionwatch.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/kajnrose/rodbate1103.jpg ALT="Image Hosting by auctionwatch.com" ></p>

</center>

********************************
Now why would this be happening when I choose a templett and then it all of a sudden begins showing this type of errors? This I won't continue doing as I'm paying for this service.

What I really like is the fact that Christopher stated last night....

1. "I will continue to work on this with you, let me know if there is any part in particular I should look at, if any recent changes were made."

2. "Go ahead and list another item, and let us know how it turns out."

3. "Let us know the results of your efforts."

OKAY SO WHERE IS THE HELP????????

I"ve sent numerous posts but nothing since early last night.

Thank you,

Kajn' (not a happy Kajn')

Hi Kajnrose,

I am still looking at your HTML to rule out that as a cause. I am also wondering if this is in anyway related to the image problems that have been afflicting AOL users. I will notify you when I have received more information.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for at least saying something. I have been looking at them myself however if it's an aol problem it started last night. Never have I had a problem that was AOL's fault especially when it looks to me it's a problem with your templett.

Let me mention as well. I have cable modem and mainly use IE and not AOL. I use AOL mainly for email purposes only, not launching auctions, etc.

I am going to list an auction in a little while when I am finished the chores I'm doing right now, but will list one completely different than the templett I'm using now. I will use all my html as it is now but will use a different templett and see if it comes out different or not.

Let me know what I can do on my end.

Hi Kajnrose,

I have looked at your code and see the problem. I believe this portion of the code is auto-generated and have escalated this problem to our engineers. There is a good chance I will not hear from them until tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

Brian,

Not sure what you mean by "your code". The html I'm using as the default or the code I put in the post for you to reference?

Also, I listed one auction on Friday and all was okay. Listed the couple Sat and all were messed up.

Let me know and thanks,

Auction Watch...

I mentioned earlier today...

"I am going to list an auction in a little while when I am finished the chores I'm doing right now, but will list one completely different than the templett I'm using now. I will use all my html as it is now but will use a different templett and see if it comes out different or not."

I did this a few minutes ago using a different templett nad LOW AND BEHOLD GUESS WHAT???????? IT LAUNCHED PROPERLY. THE ITEM #1293681701.

Compare it to item #1293167969, which shows a messed up first picture along with your verbage sticking out.

I used everything exactly as I did in launching the auctions earlier today and last night, no changes.

The problem is in your blank templett, not my html. How do we work around this until you fix it? I always use a blank templett, not the colored ones b/c I am particular about the way my auctions look with my own design.

I need a working blank templett.

Thank you,
Kajn'

Hello,

Ok, I just listed a test auction from my own account and it appears to have listed correctly.

Can you list one more time using the blank template again to verify that you will find these same results?

By the way, those additional auctions you had in your pending section I probably put there when testing your account. You can simply select and delete those items.

Let us know the results of your efforts.

I see where your test listed correctly. I just listed item #1294861855 and it listed correctly, however I did an individual listing not using the AMPRO bulk lister. I will list one next using the bulk lister b/c that is the ones that didn't work.

Also, I'd still like to see the title removed so I can use the other templetts instead of just the blank ones. That is the reason I don't like using any other templetts. So please keep my suggestion active. In case your not aware of what I'm talking about.....look at these two auctions.

Item #1294189460 without the title in description

Item #1294189453 with ugly title in the description at the top.

Christopher I am requesting that we the customers of AW at least have a choice in our defaults as to if we want a title or not.

Thanks,
Kajn'

Just launched 5-6 more but using the bulk lister and they worked fine. Wonder what the problem was?.?.? Anyway, thanks AW for getting this issue fixed but....

Hi,

Thank you for the suggestion, sorry we will be unable to give you any ETA on when/if such a change would go into place.

If you would like to leave us feedback on this issue in the future, please direct it to the feedback forum.

Glad to see you back and listing your items again!
