We experienced auction launch latency issues beginning at 6:00pm tonight. This issue is completely unrelated to the prior eBay API issue. Tonight's issue originated at our co-location provider, the shared provider of AuctionWatch and eBay. Below is a detailed issue summary, to help you understand how this affected your auctions, and how we are addressing the problem.
6:00pm - Began experiencing launch latency issues. All AuctionWatch systems and eBay API systems verified as fully functional.
6:35pm - Confirmed issue originating at co-location facility. Communication between AuctionWatch and eBay servers discovered to be virtually non-existent. Issue escalated aggressively with co-location provider.
6:45pm - Co-location service briefly resumes; auctions begin to launch.
7:15pm - Connection between AuctionWatch and eBay servers via co-location provider discovered to be failing again.
9:30pm (update) - Auction launching stable since 7:45pm. Launch latency eliminated by 9:15pm
We understand your frustration, and are doing everything possible to ensure auctions are launched tonight. This is our number one priority, and we will be taking significant action during the coming weeks to make sure this problem is not repeated.
