Please close AMPro and remove the file manually. Use Windows Explorer (Start > Programs > Accessories > Woindows Explorer), or the Windows Search function to locate it, then right click on the file and choose the menu entry "Delete".
Once the info.map file was removed from your hard disk, do you still get this error when first restarting the program? Or the error message is now different?

Same problem, same error message.
Even I deleted the file and restart the computer, launched it again; same thing happens.
I have tried delete the whole file directory without uninstall it, and reinstall it, same thing happened.
So, the first time you start AMPro after deleting the info.map file, you are still getting this error - "There was an error opening the 'C:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\data\info.map' file"?
What version of Windows have you installed on your computer?
I have tried with my English Version Windows 2000, but the same thing happen. I could use that as platform for runing AMpro, could u cheack that out what that happen?
When running Windows 2000 English, have you tried to manually remove the "C:\Program File\AuctionWatch\data\info.map" file? After restarting AMPro, do you still get the "There was an error opening the info.map" file?
If this is the case, one other thing to check is the "Windows locale": please click on Control Panel > Regional Options > General and check the field named "Your locale". Please set your locale to English and remove the old info.map, then restart AMPro. Let us know if you still get the error afterwards.
