How can I preserve my current Customer Management data under my current CyberCEO2000 User ID and transfer it to my new User ID ?
Is this possible? I was informed that I cannot have my User ID changed and I would have to create the new one. I can live with having to input all of my preferences for my new User ID but if I am going to lose all of the customer data that will still pertain to my closed eBay auctions that's a lot harder to swallow simply because AW can't change the User ID.
Please tell me there is a way to do this. The ONLY thing changing is my User ID and email address at eBay, Paypal, Ruby Lane, Square Trade, Billpoint, Bidpay and at Auction Watch. Why is it that so far AW is the only one that can't change my User ID for me?
Sorry... the User ID thing was covered in another thread and I apologize... it is just extremely frustrating that I have to rebuild everything at AW and lose all of the important data while everything stays intact at the other services.
Is there a way for me to manually input my customer info into the new account?
The first answer is no, there is no option for transferring data of any kind from one account to another. The customer section has no download options or exporting functions to help prevent it being used as a spamming tool/email harvester.
We will however forward on a request to engineering to see if there are any possible workarounds to this issue, and will post back or email you directly as soon as more information is available.
Thanks for responding. That's a very understandable reason for not having that functionality. I didn't consider that.
I appreciate the offer for engineering assist, but I think I have a work around.
I plan to send a customer letter out informing my customers of the name change. I will give them the new Storefront link, how to find me again and how to sign up again to my new mailing list.
I have also changed my old Storefront informing of the change and the new link. (In case anyone had it bookmarked).
I think that should take care of things and I can build from there.
Thanks again Chris!
P.S. AW looks great, feels great and works great - so does the staff! (Kudos to you and Sonya!)
