Hi rsmsportsga,

I sent you an email earlier today, I guess you didn't get it. Make sure that with Win ME that you are restarting your copmuter often. WinME doesn't have very good memory management. This means that when you close down programs, it doesn't necessarily free up that memory. This may be affecting your AMPro.

Hi Rsmsportsga,

You have over 5000 images stored which is probably what is slowing down Pro so much on your computer. Unfortunately we do not have an image archiving feature available so if you can delete any of those images, you may want to do so, as that will help the performance of Pro. We recommend SMBE in situations like yours as that program is built to handle larger volumes of images and auctions.

Same problem here. I have never had a problem until today. Not enough memory to run auction manager pro. I have 63.0 MB or Ram and 55% free. Is that not enough, it use to be fine. Any tips to help me?

Hi bogland,

Did you change anything on your system since it last worked correctly?

If not, try simply restarting your machine first. If you haven't changed anything, this should be all you need to do to correct the error.

I tried that. I got that nasty virus and had to download the program again. All it says is I do not have enough memory. Isn't 63.0 MB and 55% free space enough momory?

Hi,

So this all started after you got some virus? What about the virus made it so you had to download and install the software again?

Yes, you *should* be fine with the system resources you have, but from the sounds of it the virus may not be completely removed if you are still running into resource errors in Windows.

HUMM...I thought I just posted a reply to the 64 MG RAM running the program....I am impressed that it will even start up the AMPRO...WE HAVE 383 AND STILL CANT GET IT TO OPERATE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME OR WITH ANY SPEED....we have gone from listing 1200 to 1400 auctions weekly to now 370...guess Auction Watch is just not too concerned with lower %.....THE PROGRAM MUST WORK GREAT FOR FOLKS THAT LIST 30 AUCTIONS A DAY...not good for us HEAVY LISTERS...

Hi rsmsportsga,

As you mentioned yourself, the program does handle the amount of items you want to list, it just seems to have stopped working as it had been on your system.

Just for comparison, I tested this with your account. Pro does take about 4 minutes to load upon launching, however I found that once the program was open it had only taken the system resources down by about 11%. Granted I have 512MB of ram on this machine, simply upping the memory does not always give you that much more system resources as things like memory and processor speed factor into that as well. Regardless, the amount you are seeing your system resources drop seems way too high given the amount of memory you do have, and the amount of time I have personally seen Pro able to run when synched to your own account.

You mentioned only 38% of your resources being available after you launch Pro, what are you at before you launch? On my own setup, I was at 75% before I even launched, so a drop in 11% didn't make much of a different. Once you get down into the 30's though, you can easily crash the software if you start bogging the system down more and more with additional requests/commands. We need to figure out why your resources are bottoming out so quickly, as I believe you can run Pro on your system as you had done before if we can get to the bottom of what else on your setup might be either draining or mismanaging your available resources.

Let's start with where you are at with nothing open. Close out of everything on your machine, and even pull up your task list to 'end task' on everything other than 'systray' and 'explorer.'

Once those are the only two running in the background, check your available resources and make note of where you are at with just those two open. Next, launch Pro and see where you are once you have Pro loaded.

Let us know the results of your efforts. We have not given up on this issue, we are just going to need to start looking anyplace else we can for where this error could have came from.

I hve been to just catching up on mailing that I haven't had time to list anything new.

I usually list only 8 to ten auctions a day. Maybe the problem you are having is that you are trying to launch to many auctions at a time.

You could just launch say about 10 and do it in 10 at a time. It may take a little longer and you auctions will not all end at the same time. It is too confusing for me to have as masy as you list all ending at the same time.

Good luck with your auctions. I haven't had any problems with AW that wasn't solved promptly. I appreciate the AW site and only wish ebay could be that prompt.
