i can not get the mailstep to work with ebay.
I used to have 2 different ebay accounts, with corresponding 2 aw accounts. Now I scaled everthing down to one account, and want to use the mailstep feature. The problem is that ebay support is a bunch of idiots and are not able to switch my ebay email address to my correct mailstep address, they are telling me I have to confirm from that email address, which I can not do. Not only that, but they tried once and installed the wrong mailstep address (the one from the old aw account) on the system and now I have to wait 30 days to fix it. I can not find a way to call them, there is no phone number. everything is done through email and every time it's a different person answering it and does not know what i am talking about. They have made wrong fixes 3 times already.

Which brings me to the question: can I change my AW account name so that the email address that is on EBAY would work? IF you can help please email me ([email protected]) or call me (818-999-9455). thanks

Hi Discreetsales,

Unfortunately account names cannot be changed. Are you unable to change your email address yourself through My Ebay, under seller preferences, or does it still tell you that you have to wait 30 days? If not let me know, then I will email you to see what eBay ended up storing as your email address.

If you are a powerseller(who isnt) they provide you with a number to call for live support. First thing they ask you for is your ebay user name, so no getting around the email support if you dont have 100 feedbacks =)

no, you need to have a silver 'dogtag' and I just have the basic bronze one. I get email support, which has become ridiculous. every time I email them they tell me a fix that is wrong and fixes it the wrong way. Then when I reply, it starts over with the same "introductory" help email from a different rep now. I just filled out the survey form they sent me and it was BAD.
