Hi
the program keeps performing an illegal operation when i try to synchronize
after downloading 1 image it shows the folllowing illegal operation after saving the image locally
AMPRO caused a stack fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff724c1.

Hello Speedway,
Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the program, and trying to synchronize again. If you get this same error let me know.

error keeps occuring after reinstalling

Hi Speedway,
Please uninstall that copy of 4.0, and download a new one from the site. To make sure you are getting a fresh, clean download, please make sure you don't have anything else running other than your browser that you are downloading the program with. If this also does not work let me know so I can escalate this problem.

it still is showing the error
on reinstalling when first opening the program it said that it had to delete the file profile.dat and would create a new one this happened before on installation
could this be the problem

Hi Speedway,
What type of Windows are you using? Have you checked the Windows Update site for any updates to your Windows installation - especially the critical updates?

i am using Windows 98 SE and have downloaded and installed the critical updates

Hi,
Glad to hear you have since loaded all of the critical updated so your operating system. Now that you have, run through this process once more.
Be *certain* that while you are downloading, or installing, that you have nothing else running other than your browser. Close out of everything you have running in the background as well. Something is corrupting either the download itself, or the install process. Typically this is caused by antivirus programs.

it still shows the error
it may have something to do with the fact that i'm trying to run it on an emulated windows 98 through virtual pc for mac os
if this is the root of the problem i will just use my HP running windows 98
i also tried using BE but the same error occured

Hi Speedway,
Indeed, SMPro is not supported on Virtual PC. Please let us know if you run into any problems installing the program on the regular Windows 98.
