I cannot see the color background using the html editor when previewing. How do I view this before actually uploading my ad? Do I have to highlight the whole ad? Also, can I use my own html in the text, ( like font sizes, -1)? I don't see any minus or plus signs for fonts. AT times I use images for my bullets, can I put my own html in for that while using your html for background and font colors?

The 'back color' next to the 'font color' option is where you can create a background color for your text. This is not an background for the whole listing. You will need to select the text and apply a background color to it, or select a background color before you start typing.
You can use your own HTML in there if you want, just make sure to preview your listing to make sure it works with the HTML you create using the editor.
The drop down arrow next to where you select the font you want will change the font size for you.
