Majority of the time it updates the Post sales express with no problems. It even include the paypal transaction number. Cool! but there are time where it doesnt work. Confirmation email from paypal is sending to mailstep.com system. I have to update it manually sometimes. I have some items for reference if needed.

Also, the link to make payment via paypal is not very clear. It ask the buyer what they want to pay for and how much it is. Both fields are free text fields which the buyer can enter what ever they like. The amount they enter may not be the same amout AW WBN confirmed it to be.

Is there a way to prefilled this fields on paypal and not let the buyers edit them? I know paypal's WBN does that.

Hi Null,

I've answered your other question in your other thread.

Regarding your first post here: for the ones that don't seem to be working, could you provide me with the auction ID numbers so that I can check them out? Please also note that there are some paypal emails that might not be recognized. Specifically ones where the buyer did not fill out all of the information, also "notification of payment received" ones.

Strange....i just got two payment confirmation from paypal. One with "You got Cash" and the other is "notification of payment received". The first one update the AW mailstep system just fine and the second one did not update mailstep.

hmmm....what is the difference? why is paypal sending one or the other...

This is what I found out.....correct me if i'm wrong.

After buyer confirm order using AW WBN they get a link to pay via paypal. That link takes them to paypal's site to pay with my mailstep email. After buyer complete the same information again on paypal's side I get a "notification of payment received" from paypal which doesn't update AW mailstep system.

So if the "notification of payment received" email from paypal doesn't update AW mailstep then why does the AW WBN have a link to a payment format that sends out the "notification of payment received" email?

This is what is happening with payments. Buyers click on the AW WBN paypal link and make payment but I get a "notification of payment received" email which doesn't update AW mailstep! duh!

Yup.....I just got 2 different emails from 2 different buyers paying with 2 different method.

I asked how they made payment and 1 replied using the link on AW WBN and the other replied making payment directly from paypal website using the "send money" tab.

Both generated different payment confirmation from paypal. The first person which paid using the link from AW WBN generated an "notification of payment received" email from paypal which doesn't update AW mailstep!

The other person who paid directly from paypal generated an "You got cash" payment confirmation from paypal which UPDATED AW mailstep just fine.

I have both email confirmation and reply to confirm if you need to see it.

HELP!

Hi null,

Thank you for pointing this out. I am going to escalate this, but for now, the "notification of payment received" type emails will not be automatically processed so you'll need to enter the amounts for these manually. I do apologize for the inconvenience!

Best regards,

Diana
