I have recently relocated my business to a location where I can only use "dial-up". I am used to uploading as many as 100 auctions at a time. Is this possible and how much longer does it usually take to upload?
Does anyone have any experience doing this with a "dial-up" connection.
There is a 2-way satellite connection now possible but I understand that the upload time is comparable to a dial-up modem. Does anyone have the satellite system?

i can tell you that i went from dial up to DSL for the sake of time. The benefit of the AW Manager Pro system is that you can prep everything off line and then upload it after everything is set up. That definately will help, but it will still take 4-10 times longer to upload everything to the AW site with dial-up. Before AW Manager Pro, it was a huge pain in the butt. I'd be logged on, and it would take forever to upload a page, just to create a listing. I'd spend 3-4 hours for what now takes me only 1 hour off-line.
The other reason for DSL was the stability of uploads. Getting booted off dial-up tends to be a problem along with the speed. I would keep an eye out for problems like that the first few times you do it. I would check into the upload/download speeds for the satellite system. if the upload time is rated at 256 or higher i would seriously consider it. time is money, and i prefer to relax knowing my system is efficient and fast.
