What category are you trying to list in? When I look at your auctions I don't show that a category has been selected.

Tara,
all of the wristwatchcategories have been eliminated from AMP.I need to know how to get the Item specifics for my watches.Ebay made a big change today and you have to do things a certain way now,I am talking about attrbutes or item site specifics. All of the auctions that I wrote earlier this week have now all been lumped together under on large category. My lisings will never be looked at now since there are 30,000 items in this category now.I need to know how to fill out the site specifcs at ebay thru AW

Tara,
please read the following,I only want to be able to do on auctionwatch what you are able to do thru ebay. The wristwatch category is basically useless right now,I am not going to put my watches in a category with 30,000 other listings.I need to break it down into sub categories the way it used to be,the only way to get into the right category now is by using item specifics,My question ishow do I get into item specifics thru AMP.Please look at the following message that I got about 2 weeks ago and you will know what I mean. All of the auctions that I launched earlier this week have all been changed into new categories, they are not going to sell now. Please help me out with this
thaank you

Greetings from the eBay Watch Team!
You are receiving this email because you are among the most valued Watch
Sellers on eBay and we wanted to inform you of an exciting new feature for
the watch category that was released in late June - Attributes! Are you
currently using attributes (also known as "item specifics" in your watch
listings? If not, we encourage you to start using this feature soon.
If you sell brand watches on eBay, it is important that you start using
attributes in your listings. Attributes will begin to play an increasingly
important role in how buyers search for your listings - particularly in
terms of watch brand. In about a week, eBay will remove the brand name
structure under the Wristwatch category. Wristwatches will be the lowest
level within the site categories. At that time, buyers will locate the
watch brand of their choice using the eBay Product Finder rather than
browsing through the brand name categories. Buyers will have a more
difficult time finding your watches if you are not using attributes.
Below are just some of the benefits of attributes...
Why use Attributes (Item Specifics)?
- Quickly reveals key buying criteria
- Describes criteria in a common language
(e.g. Features, Gender, Age, etc)
- Quick refinement by criteria of importance
- Allows key dimensions not well-represented
by categories (e.g. Watch Style)
Why you should add Attributes to your listings?
- Buyers who use the Product Finder will
only see your items if you complete the
Attributes information
- Buyers really value the product finder
- Faster and easier to use
- Quickly and accurately narrows the search
- Listings with Item Specifics on average
drive 30% more bids than other items*

We wish you continued success in selling Watches on eBay!
Unfortunately we do not yet support the Attributes that eBay is referring to. To get them on your auctions, after you list them, you will need to go back and edit them to include the attributes.
