I have an old problem from when I first started using Pro (about 1/1/2 years) The 1st class postage default for choose one (in other words none) will not stay as a default. I have to change it on each one. The Preferences are correct but will not change the individual listing pages. In this amount of time I have changed servers several times, changed computers and lost everything and no matter what anyone from AW says it has not changed and could not be from my end. It has followed the upgrades.
I also cannot figure out how to get rid of the weight request. Last time I had about 768 auctions up at one time, I cannot package and weigh them all in case they might sell. I also don't know how I would put in $1 or $2 postage for a small flat item in envelope with bit of bubble wrap. I don't think the upgrades should be mandatory until they are workable. I can't list at all because it won't accept it without the weight. I can't imagine typing a description and then stopping the listing process to go and package and weigh each little item at a time.

Hi Larrkpoodle,
Your online preferences have USPS Priority Calculated and BOOKS only as your shipping defaults. What does it read when you are in Pro?
Regarding the weight issue -- you have the option to enter weight when using the calculated shipping. As long as you are using priority calculated as a shipping option, you are going to be prompted to enter in the weight and shipping dimensions for the item. There is no way around that, as calculated shipping will not work without that information.

Pro always starts out with Priority, 1st Class and Books. I have to individualy change them to no first class. Preferences is not working again so I can't check that again. Usually it shows first class too although I always leave it on Choose.
Is there someplace to check the various shipping options vs weight to see what type of total will actually go out to the customer depending on what is chosen?

Thanks for the clarification on the shipping. I will have to look into this more, as I do not think you can change that.
At this time you can only use calculated shipping for USPS priority. I think you would have to check the various shipping websites to see what they charge based on weight in order to make a decision on what to use.
