We have found an issue that some of our Pro users have encountered, which is related to some imported images having names longer than 32 characters. The symptoms of this problem include inability to synchronize, and folders/images that disappear and/or reappear in SM Pro.

Normally, SMPro and the online Image Hosting limit image names to 32 characters. While importing eBay auctions into your AuctionWatch account, images (mainly hosted at Ipix) with longer names have also been imported.

In order to work around this, please do the following:

1. Delete all images with names longer than 32 chars from the online Image Hosting

2. Using Windows Explorer, go to SMPro's "images" folder and rename these
images with a shorter filename.

3. Go to SMPro's "data" folder and delete the files named "images.map" and
"folders.dat".

4. Restart SMPro and synch. The images will now be uploaded to online image hosting with their changed names.

We have implemented a fix for this problem going forward, but please note the following:

- Imported images that have a filename over 32 characters long will have the filename truncated to 32 characters. This might result in some duplicate filenames. In the case where the imported images have duplicate filenames, the subsequent images simply will not import.

- Images that have already been imported and have over 32 characters will not be synchronized into SM Pro.

We hope that this fix will help eliminate this problem. Please let us know if you experience any issues related to this.

Best regards,

Diana

Hello,

They will be in your AuctionWatch directory, which can be found in Program Files in your C drive. Let us know if you continue to have trouble locating them.

Sonya
