I just spent 3 hours typing listings, over a dozen items, I clicked on upload, and the SA Pro exited, poof, gone, no error message, nothing, just gone. all that work gone. Now i can wait several days before i can relist again, and then go over the items and write new descriptions. And these were large lots with lengthy descriptions. This has happened before, it is a major bug that needs to be addressed.

The easiest way, and I have suggested, asked, begged, and demaneded for this before is a simple auto-backup feature. Many programs have this, and it would save your listing to a back up file, just the text/html of the description every 3,5,or 10 minutes, this way if the software crashes, or your computer does, or you loose power, or you smash your computer with a sledgehammer, you would still have that backup file to fall back on. I have many different software programs that have this from inexspensive stuff to Word, to 3D Studio Max, it's fairly simple, and saves hours of time and effort, plus people aren't as pissed off at you and your programmers when this kind of crash/bug/error happens, and right about now I could strangle somebody.

So I ask again, please add this as a new feature in your software.

Hi Nycc,

I will pass your suggestion on to product development. It is also a good idea for you to save your work every 5 minutes or so if you are worried about crashing.

We used to have this problem, too. (It's SO frustrating!!!) It seems to be RAM-related. Now that I've upgraded my PC's memory to the max, it doesn't happen nearly as often. As a precaution, though, don't have any other programs running if at all possible. And if your computer's memory is limited, saving after every listing is definitely recommended!

1.4ghz, 1024mb of ram, (that's 1gb)

so no, i don't think ram is the issue. this happens on multiple computers that we use.

Hello, I don't mean to boil the problem down to something small but I have two thoughts. I use to have the same problem.
1-I upgraded to XP and no longer have the problem.
2-I same my batch before I do my import (an empty batch) then I control S every few minutes. It works.
I have recently gotten lazy because after going to XP, it just isn't a problem anymore. However, the old computer tech in me makes me use the control S...
Maybe this will help.
