Hello
I am wondering if we have an eta on when we will be able to move items between inventory and the store. I have started getting sales through my store and fortunately for me I was able to close the auction on one and had the other available. This is becomming important in the extreme! With 11/29 comming up is everything isn't just so, it will create a mess.
Currently it is so time consuming to move things out of the store so they can go to auction that I am not always able to keep up.
I like many others am a one-person show. With over 500 items in inventory and adding 100 weekly (and taking off a lot, too!) I have to dedicate my time to listing and customer service.
You guys do such a great job... please, please help with this aspect!
Thank you
Paula
Could you explain more what you had in mind? Store items are created and maintained through inventory so I'm not really sure how you want to move them through inventory to store. If you have auctions that you are creating that you may want to sell as store items only in the future, it is a good idea to always save your auctions to inventory. This way, if you decide to sell it in the store, all you have to do is locate it in inventory and fill out the Store Information tab.

Hi Sonya
Thank you for responding!
Ok, I use SMPro software locally. I import my text, add my pictures and choose to enter my items into my store front. I do this because inventory on line does not sync with the local inventory.
Doing it the way I described, it will show that I have 2 tems one in inventory & 1 in the store. However, the fact is, I only have one item and it is at auction. I then must go to each item and delete the item showing in inventory. Doing that leaves one item in the store and one at auction. When the item comes off auction and didn't sell, I then leave it in the store front and the count is correct. Now if I want to auction that item off, I must go into the item take it out of the store (which puts it into inventory) and then I can launch it.
If there were way that I could move items from the store to inventory so that they could be launched from their, it would save me hours of work.
What I'm thinking of this something that would work the way changing folders or categories works. In other words we could select an item, choose move, and choose where to move it to, i.e. launch, store or inventory.
I look forward to hearing your reply.
Thank you
Paula

Hi Paula,
When the item gets in inventory, you can edit it and put a number in the Quantity Available box in Basic Information. Then you can launch it from inventory. This should solve your problem.

Hi Sonia
Thank you for your response.
It appears that I am not communicating very effectively, let me try again.
When the items are imported into inventory, they are either left in inventory, launched to an auction or put in the storefront. If you only have one widget and you place your widget in your storefront, in order to auction that widget off you must go into the basic screen and move it out of inventory, save your changes and then the item can be launched. If you have 500 different widgets in your storefront, you must go into each widget's basic screen and move them out of the storefront, save your changes and then they can be launched. The problem is the time it takes to go into each individual screen, move it from the storefront & save the changes, in this case 500 times. If you have to repeat this on each individual item it is time-consuming in the extreme. A solution would be the ability to simply check the boxes of items that need to be moved from point A to point B, select move and the then either launched from the storefront or move the item into the storefront from inventory. Does that make what I'm asking for any clearer?
thank you Paula

Paula,
I know what you are talking about.
There is no reason we should have to edit each item in the storefront in order to make it available for auction - that takes too much time.
You can launch to the storefront so why isn't there a feature to do the opposite - remove items from storefront to make them available for auction.
I've been asking for this feature since June.
Here was my question to customer service:
"Is there an easy way to change items from the store in order to put them up for auction without having to go into each one and change the quantity available (when you have only one)? If not, maybe this could be
in a future update because this is very time consuming if you want to take several items from your store and list them in an auction.
Thanks,
L.J."
And their reply:
"Hello,
Currently, there is no way to remove an item from your storefront to make it available to auction without going into it and lowering the quantity available to storefront. We will however pass along your comments as a suggestion to look into adding such a feature in the future.
Best Regards,
Chris
AuctionWatch Customer Service"
So don't hold your breath for this to change any time soon.

Hi Sonya
I apologize for spelling your name wrong on the last post .. I was using dictation software and didn't notice the error.
At any rate, I would like to know from you if you understand the problem now?
I mean really... did I state it better or shall I try again?
Thank you
Paula

Hi Paula,
It's okay about the misspell. I understand what the problem is now, I know that you are looking for an easier way to manage your store to auction inventory movements rather than going into each item individually.
