I want to use the AW Referral Link in my emails but I don't think the link is working properly.
The instructions for testing the link tells me I should receive a "Big Red Congratulations" if the link worked successfully. I guess it doesn't since I don't get that message.
When the link is clicked it takes me to the standard AW Splash Page with the Log In. The only problem with this is that my name (RetroBargains) is already populated in the Username area and the Password is blank.
Although I want the referrals, I really don't want MY username popping up in people's faces for the Sign In request.
Here's the link that I got WHILE LOGGED IN from the referral program link:

Okay, a follow up on this. I went ahead and logged in on the page the link sent me to and I received the Big Red Congratulations notice.
So the link DOES in fact work... but it still, even when I'm logged off and open a fresh new browser window it populates my Username into the Sign In box.
Is that necessary? The person following the link will have to delete that out and place their own info in there. Why not leave it blank?
Or can I assume that it is pre-populating due to the AuctionWatch cookies on my system? I just thought of that.
If this is the reason, I apologize for all of the hoopla and I will rest easy using the link.

Hi Greg,
Your user name shows up in the login box because the login is cookie based and you've already logged in with your browser. The link will work -- I've just tested it myself -- if you want to test it too, you would need to email the link to yourself, quit your browser and delete your AW cookies, then click on that link and attempt to sign up. The fields will then both show up blank.
