I operate strictly from batches - strictly from the area where batches are composed. I have a separate batch for each of 300 items. Then I d & d individual batches into one batch for any given launching. I never visit inventory (hardly ever.)

This may have led to two problems. One is the Paypal. You may have changed something, and I have all my preferences set for Paypal but, other than the Paypal button on the bottom of the auction pages, Paypal doesn't show up. When buyers checkout, Paypal is not an option given the buyer on the checkout form. I keep getting asked if I take Paypal. I am assuming that because I operate off already created batches, information is not getting to the checkout page.

The other problem is the four-item referrals or items to be in the checkout e-mail. "Buyers that bought what you bought, also liked these."

Unless I put these on the editing page when I relist, the referrals don't show up. If I go to inventory and list these referral items for a given DVD, will that information be transferred to an already created batch when next I launch it? Doesn't seem so.

Where does the checkout notice get its information? What does it check for information before being presented to the buyer?

Hello,

Are you referring to ebay checkout, or the WBN? I was looking at your paypal settings online -- if you had the second option selected it will include the paypal logo inside the listing, and above the item description. This provides winners with the option to use eBay checkout so if you are using our WBN system, this can confuse your winners.

Hi Sonya -

What I mean is that if I go to Ebay and edit an auction that is live, when I come to the payment options, Paypal is unchecked. What it offers me is to check the Paypal box and to enter my e-mail address.

Does this mean that if I do that, I will be bypassing the AW checkout? If I don't, Paypal appears that it won't be listed as an option to the buyer. They would have to hunt for a Paypal icon on the auction page. Most don't and e-mail me if I will accept Paypal.

Hi Fred,

What that will do is insert the logos above the description for PayPal. When your auction ends, a PayNow button will appear and your buyers can checkout that way -- the problem is that it leads to eBay Checkout so if you are using the AW WBN (or any other for that matter) they'll receive that, plus the option to do eBay Checkout. It is an eBay feature that we offer as the 2nd choice in Global Preferences for inserting PayPal logos, however it gives winners the option to bypass your preferred checkout procedure.

Regards,

Sonya
