I'm using Ampro and have never listed with eBay motors before. It's letting me pick ebay motors and a category before going into the listing pages but won't let me pick a specific category on the second page of listing preferences. Do I need to do something?

Thanks-

Gail

Hi Gail,

Make sure that that category is in the top category that you choose for eBay Motors. Are you able to click the Browse button, and browse through your categories?

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya-

No, that's the problem. It won't let me browse at all in the category section.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Can you go into the regular eBay listing form and browse the categories, like you are trying to do with Motors?

They use the same JavaScript, so if one works, so should the other.

Hi Christopher-

Yes I can browse the categories in the regular eBay, just not ebay motors. I've never tried to list on eBay motors so I'm not sure If I don't have something set up right or what.

Thanks for the help-

Hi Gail,

I understand that you are using SMPro. To pick an eBay category you must:

1. start a listing and, inside the Select Site for Listing window, select the eBay Motors site and the top level category;

2. when the listing page shows up, go to the eBay Motors Site Information tab and click Browse;

3. when the Browse Categories window shows up, the 'Main' drop-down is grayed out, as it holds the selected top level category; you must use the other ('Sub') drop-downs to reach the sub-category that you need.

Please note that the "Everything Else" top category has no other sub-categories; if you chose it, just click OK in the Browse Categories window.

Thanks,

-Radu
