Hi
I just started having this problem. It says run time error 429 active x can not create object. So i uninstalled it and then tried to reinstal it and it still says the same thing. Any suggestions?
thanks
Laurie Hill
Run time error 429 usually means there is a problem with the SMPro file structure. If uninstall/reinstall did not work, please try downloading a fresh copy. Let us know if you can't install that either.

Did you download a new one, or did you try to install the same one you had? Please let us know what your OS is, how much RAM you have, and what type of internet connection you have.

I have Win 98 second ed. 533 system 98 mb RAM and a DSL for my internet. I uninstalled auction pro and then put it in the recycle bin and emptied it and then downloaded a new fresh copy and it still did the same thing.
thanks
Laurie
Did you have multiple SMPro installations before? Have you uninstalled them all?
Now, I understand that you installed a totally fresh copy, to a new location on your hard disk; if this is so, please try the following too:
1. Go to the Windows Update site (you can reach it by clicking Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu). Check any updates which are available for your machine, especially Service Packs and device drivers.

Hi
Thank you for your help I found out that the reason I could not open SMP was that my windows update file was corrupted. This caused the active X error. So I had to remove the windows update folders and then redownload IE from scratch and now Sales manager pro works great.
thanks
