Hello again! Love the Preferred Checkout - it's going to be great!
My question/suggestion is in regards to Post Sale Emails that are set to go out automatically after a Checkout Response has been received.
Is there any way the Payment Received, the Shipment Notification, Post Receipt, and Feedback Reminder emails can be programmed to pull the customer's actual name from the Checkout Response instead of the customer's user name?
I just received a thank you response email from a Shipment Notification that I sent to a customer and it really looks as "canned" as we all know that it is. Any way to make this an automated professional email?
Here's what it currently goes out looking like:
==================================
Subject: Shipment Status Notification
Hello tkelly54,
Just an update to let you know your item....
==================================
The example above seems "out of context" since by this time we have the person's name and payment - the least we could do is call them by name.
I realize I could manually edit each one before sending - but then again... I could do all of this manually. <grin>
Just a suggestion - I know with a little programming it can be done and I think it would be a great professional benefit for all of us sellers.

Ditto
I don't want to make my customers my new best friends but at this point in the sale "DEAR IWANTWINAGAIN" is too impersonal. I rarely use any of these follow-ups tools for this reason.
Thanks

Thanks Tara!
I like the post-sale messages, but I think for the time being I'll strip out the user name and just go with a simple greeting of "Hello".
I agree with ladyjewels2000, not looking to have pen pals via email but the way it currently is reminds me of working behind a counter and addressing a customer something to the following:
"How can I help you Mr. Brown Jacket, blue shirt?"
