I've been wondering this for quite a while, but never have the time to try and figure it out, so I thought I'd save some time and ask in this forum. Is there something to check to allow my buyers to add on optional insurance? I'd like to be able to check or un-check easily if there is. Sometimes I already work the insurance into the shipping cost and other times, I don't, so I'd like to be able to have an option for the buyers to add on insurance if they desire. Many of them ask on their own, but a lot don't even think about it since it's not offered at the check-out. Please let me know if this is an option I've been missing.

Hi Toyspast,
In Global Preferences, there is an option in the shipping section for insurance. If you want to offer it to buyers you can select it there. When an auction closes that has this option on it, a buyer will go through the WBN and see a checkbox and a line telling them that you offer insurance. It is optional -- if they don't check it then only shipping will be added but if they do, then insurance will be added to shipping and you'll see in post sale that the winner has elected to pay for insurance. I hope this helps!

But I would not be able to choose who gets the option, correct? I either offer it to ALL buyers or NO buyers, correct? If that's correct, can you pass on to tech the suggestion to be able to check and uncheck a box to offer insurance. If I'm not right about this, please explain how I would be able to turn it on and off - so to speak for each individual auction. Thanks for your help.
