ok wait i think i see this is referencing the checkout page shipping, but if shipping is variable as in "See auction deatils" then how can this be handled? i calculate shipping only after i know the winners location so how can i have SMPro still send a msg but no stall on letting me not select a shipping method?
>
my "shipping notice" just reads:
Hello %%Winner%%,
Thanks for your payment on the %%Title%% (%%AuctionID%%).
Your item has been shipped as agreed and should arrive soon. Please feel free to send us an email at %%MyEmail%% if you have any questions.

hopefully i can figure this out,
thanks!

Hello,
The PSM tools are setup to work only when you can provide a valid shipping option at the time you list the auction.
You will need to check the box next to one of the shipping options to use the automatic WBN feature.

thanks for the quick reply.
im probably missing the point because i just started using SMPro but it would seem that many (at least many of mine) auctions it would be difficult or impossible to set a shipping fee / method before the auction is complete and you know where and how youre shipping. would it not be possible to have the option of not including a shipping method when setting up the auction, otherwise whats the point of having the "See auction for details" under shipping methods?
or did i miss the point?
thanks
p.s. is there a way to test WBN and other after the sale messages without running a fake auction?
2x thanks

Hello,
We do offer calculated shipping during checkout, although currently its only supported for USPS Priority shipping.
You can certainly skip placing a shipping option when you list, but the automatic WBN simply was not setup as a method to collect information, then go back and relay a total. It currnetly only works with calculating it for USPS Priority, or fixed shipping options.
As for previewing the WBN, if you already have one item in your closed section that you are done with, you can click on the PSM keys beside it and edit the buyers address to be your own. This is probably the easiest way to preview without actually listing an item.
