I'm getting ready to relist something and after scheduling it, I looked at the auction. At the bottom there is an Auctionwatch checkout - how do I disable this as I prefer they use eBay's checkout?

Thanks,

Gail

Hello,

For that item you will need to click on it, unschedule it, uncheck the checkout box, then reschedule it again.

To make sure that the AuctionWatch Checkout button does not appear in your listings, do the following:

- Under My Account -> Post-Sale Mgnt. Options, make sure that the "Include the AuctionWatch Checkout button in my auction listings by default" checkbox is unchecked.

- When you create or edit listings, make sure that the "Include the AuctionWatch Checkout button in this listing." checkbox is unchecked.

Note that changing your preference will only apply to new listings, and will not apply to active auctions.

Greetings AW,
I have a similar problem on 6 relisted auctions. My default setting does not show the AW Checkout box as checked and I do not wish to use it in any of my auctions. Please remove it from #2509400256, #2509408058, #2912700935, #2912727129, #3209139470, #329140073. When I relist a closed auction, is the AW checkout automatic? I relist "on-line" but do my new listings on SMpro using 3.75. Please explain this more thoroughly as I do not wish to use it.
Many thanks, Sharon.

Hi GeneralFunds,

Did the original listings have checkout enabled on them? I have confirmed that you do have your checkout settings set correctly. Unfortunately we cannot remove anything from the listing since it is an active auction -- you would have to edit that item directly on eBay.

Sonya

Hello again,
Sorry to be so long in posting but had to replace my hard drive earlier this month. I have now downloaded 4.2 SMPro and it appears to be working fine.
When I try to relist auctions on line, I'm finding that I must mannually "uncheck" the AW checkout box each time. My default setting are set correctly so as not to use the checkout in the original listing but then it's there for the relist. Can this be corrected?
Also, when relisting, I used to be able to check any number of auctions to relist, then go in and edit each individual one as I pleased and then up-load the whole thing at once. Now I must do them one at a time or I get an error message. Please help.
Thanks again. Sharon

Hi Sharon,

We have fixed the problems that checkout had shortly after it was introduced -- however for those you are relisting, if they had checkout selected erroneously, you will have to deselect it because it's going to show up no matter what. As you know the default settings won't override something that was in place when an item was launched, which is why you should doublecheck those you are relisting.

You should still be able to select a group of auctions to Relist, and edit each one individually. What error message are you getting?

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya,
The original auctions DID NOT have the AW checkout chosen. The box only appears as "checked" when I relist. I have manually "un-check" it which doesn't make sense....and I'm talking about current auctions, not those that started right after you may have fixed the problem.
With regard to the relisting error, I can choose the first one, edit and set it up to launch, but when I try to edit the next one, I get a message that is "504" something about timed out, too many try to access page, etc.
Would appreciate your checking this out for me.
Thanks. Sharon

Hi Sharon,

So it is happening on items you are trying to relist -- when were they originally listed? Please provide us with some item ID numbers so we can try to replicate the problem.

Regarding the timeouts -- this problem is happening to AOL users only. If you have contacted AOL, and they have responded that the problem is on our end, please write them back and ask them to contact "[email protected]". We would be happy to work with their network engineers in order to resolve this problem, but we cannot find any issue on our end that would cause this.

If this problem keeps happening, please try using an alternate access number or another ISP if you have one available. Unfortunately we have no other workarounds for this problem at this time.

Regards,

Sonya
