i have copied and pasted the last respons to my questions i am real sorry for all the questions.

There is no fee to import auctions that you create in Turbo Lister to AW. However, please be aware you cannot use import unless you have signed up for a Sales Manager Plan and have your eBay ID stored.

Post Sale will work on those imported auctions. If you tracked in your auctions, then post sale will not work.

Fees depend on what you do with your AW account. You get charged if you list auctions through AW, or if you used hosted AW images in auctions created outside of AW.

Regards,

Sonya

So is it safe to say that if i use turbo lister to list auctions on ebay and use images that are on my computer and not stored in auction watch i can import all of them into auctionwatch and use the post sale with no fees?

Thanks David

Hello,

Please note that although you are able to import and use PSM without incurring charges currently, we do plan to implement fees for this service at some time in the near future.

Also, as the system is not set up for this use, we cannot offer support for any problems that might arise.

Thanks,

Diana

In the response one above, Sonja mentioned: If you tracked in your auctions post sale won't work. What does it mean "to track in your auctions" and what does that do to mess up post sale? Does it have anything to do with the track "on" and 'off' for images in inventory etc.-- I don't yet understand what those are for either. Thanks.

Hello,

Track is seperate from import. Import will pull in your information so if you want to use post sale on something you launched on eBay you have to import it while it is active.

Hi Sonya. I specifically asked someone to explain what it means to "track" in the auctions (or listings, or whatever) and why/how it messes up the post sale functions. Why would you respond by explaining the "import" feature, ignoring my question and answering something else???
I have no questions at this time on import--either importing into SmPro initially (did that long ago) or importing from my database to list(working fine).
I still need the answer to my question, please! I have no idea what this business about "track" in auctions is referring to, and I don't want to accidentally mess up my post sale functions by accidentally bumbling into it. I have seen options like the "track this image" toggle on-off etc.at various places on the site-- what do those do, and is that what you are talking about?
Thanks.

Hi,

If you use 'track' then when your listings close, you won't be able to use post sale on them. Track allows you to watch auctions in active but you can't do anything with them when they close. I mention import because if you do want to use post sale on auctions you created somewhere else, you have to Import them -- not track them.

You won't mess up your post sale if you track auctions in it but like I mentioned, if they were created somewhere else and you use track to get it in your AW account, you CANNOT use post sale.

Tracking in auctions has nothing to do with track images. Unfortunately I don't know what you are talking about when you say track on and off, please give me a more detailed explanation or point me to a place on the site where you see it.

The other benefit of track auctions is if something is missing from your AW account for some reason, and it's a closed auction, you can use track to pull it into your account.

I hope this makes things more clear for you.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya. Thanks.
I can't imagine why I would use a function that messes up post sale so I'm just trying to figure out what it is so I can avoid it. I see a link on some pages that says "track this auction" but I thought that was a bidder function. What does it do? Which area of the FAQs could I go to, because I'm not finding it so far.

One of the places I saw the tracking toggle was in my AW auction gallery. Over where the images should be there is an option up above that says "Track this image" and under that in dark black print it says "Off" (and it toggles to "On". Mine said "Off" so initially I thought that might be why there were no pics in my gallery. If I turned it "On" would my embedded pics show up in the gallery? I did have one pic show up there once, but no one knows why yet and I guess engineering is still working on it.

Thanks for the answer on a weekend. Really appreciated.

Sonya... sorry for the winking smiley face, all I typed was the close parentheses between the quote and the period-- I wasn't trying to be cute or offensive and I don't know how it got there.

Hello,

Can you give me the URL to where you are seeing the on and off toggle? I am still not able to find it.

The Track Items link gives AW users the ability to track someone else's auction into their account, so that they can watch it.

Sonya

Hi Sonya. Thanks for continuing to pursue this. I'm sorry, but I don't remember the URL to my gallery page. If you go to my storefront and click my auctions section, you will see my listings (sans pics) and at the top of the column on the left over the check boxes it says "Track these images-off" If the off is clicked it toggles to "On". Does that have anything to sdo with getting images into the gallery?
Sorry I sound like a dunce with the same question, but I am new to auctions. Obviously when you say and use the word "track" this is common AW technical jargon that is so obvious to you what it means that no explanation is needed. Your sentence that people use "track" to track other auctions in/into their account is not helping because you still have not explained what you are talking about. You just keep using a word I don't understand and make comments about what can and can't be done with it. I really need you to explain what the track function is first--then you can give me data about what to do with it or not. I'm also glad to go to the FAQ section if there is one--just point me in the right direction to find it.
I can understand why a person with only a bidders account might want to use an auction tracking software feature for bidding purposes, but why would a seller do that in their seller's account, and why exactly does it mess up the use of post sale?
Thanks again.

Hello,

Thank you for pointing out to me where it was. Basically, what that does is allow you to view your auction gallery with the images present, or without the images. It pulls in the first image you have attached to your auctions and since you are using the embedded template, which does not have attach image available, it will remain blank for you.

I have explained track in a previous posting in this thread. The main purpose of track is to keep track of auctions which are not your own.
I have explained as well that track will not mess up your post sale unless you use it to bring an auction into your account that you launched elsewhere, and you intend to use post sale on that auction. You cannot use post sale on an auction that you track in.

Here is the FAQ relative to track:

http://www.auctionwatch.com/help/faq.html/12

Please see the 3rd, 4th, and 5th questions for additional explanation.

Regards,

Sonya
