Is is possible to have two ID's with SM Pro
I was trying to help a friend get started with SMPro. She has two AW and Ebay ID's. We went in on her control panel for her new ID and did the download. Everything went to her old ID which is not what she wanted. Is there a easy way to change this over to the new one? I'm trying to help her with this as she doesn't have great computer knowledge - not that I do either but my skills are 3 or 4 times better than her's. Thanks for any help.

Hi Ladyjewels2000,
If you have two or more AuctionWatch accounts, the easiest way to keep your account information separate is to install an individual copy of SM Pro on your computer for each AuctionWatch account.
The first step is to download the install kit from our site (be sure to select the "save to disk" option.) The same install kit can be used to install all SM Pro copies.
The second step is to install the program into separate locations. The first copy is installed into "C: \Program Files\ " folder by default. You will need to create a unique file folder for each additional copy that is to be installed. You may create these folders wherever you like on your hard drive, but be sure to name the files so that you will easily be able to find them later.
Run the installer for Sales Manager Pro, when the prompt comes up asking you where to install it, select and install to default ("C: \Program Files\ " ). After this is done, run the installer again, and install it to the alternate location you have selected (C: \AuctionWatch\eBay_id is an example.)
At this point, you should have two AuctionWatch icons on the desktop, rename one of them so that you will be able to differentiate it from the other.
Now you should have 2 working copies of SM Pro, one for each of your IDs. Simply launch the copy you want via your labeled icons for the ID you want to work on listings for. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Sonya

Thanks for the fast reply, but I must admit you lost me and if I don't understand it I know she won't either.
I don't think she uses the old account anymore so is there any way to just rename the SMPro we jsut downloaded or should she delete all of it and start over? What would stop it from pulling her old information again? I just don't recall it giving me a choose of ID's.
She need to access her images and preferences from the new account?
If she doesn't use the other account anymore, then she can use her existing copy of Pro under the new one. When she opens up Pro, have her click on the Preferences icon on the left and then on Account Info. Click the change button, fill in the new information and synchronize. The new account preferences and images will then download.
The directions I gave were if she wanted to use both accounts, since in cases like that it is easiest to run two copies of Pro.
