I do have a couple other questions. The new name... how do you pronounce it? Is it Spanish?

Also, I use a tab delimited file to import into Pro. What format do I use to utilize the shipping fields... what do I do about the calculated priority field? What format would I import to use the calculated field? - calc ?

Will you be adding additional fields? i.e. store catigories, cost etc. Launch date and time?

Thank you
Paula NY-baglady

Hi Paula,

When you are using the inventory importer, you will have to match up fields in your file, to the fields in Pro. You should just select "Shipping Carrier 1" or one of the other selections for shipping. I'm not sure if this accurately covers your question so if it does not, please explain more in detail what you are trying to do.

The name Vendio is pronounced VEN-dee-oh.

Regards,

Sonya

Hi Sonya
Thank you for the response
The question: I use a tab delimited file to import into Pro. What format do I use to utilize the shipping fields... what do I do about the calculated priority field? What format would I import to use the calculated field? - calc ? -- is really refering to the shipping.
I usually offer Priority calculated. I know to select Shipping Carrier 1 but what do I put in the field... USPS Priority calc or just calc or can this (USPS Priority calculated) not be imported that way? The same for Shipping Carrier 2, which is usually US First Class Mail... this seems clearer, I believe I would put in a dollar amount. Right?

As I think this through my guess is Shipping Carrier 1 is what ever is set up in my preferences... the same for Shipping Carrier. However, how do I tell the software that Shipping Carrier 1 needs to be the calculated amount..

I hope that is clearer.

Thank you

Hello Paula,

If you use calculated shipping, please enter USPS Priority (calculated) in the carrier field, and do not enter anything in the amount field.

If you use fixed shipping, enter the name of the carrier in the carrier field (note that this should be USPS Priority (fixed) for USPS), and the dollar amount in the amount field.

Thanks,

-Radu

Hi Radu
There seems to continue to be some fuzzyness in what I am asking... Please read the complete posting.
The field you suggest I enter USPS Priority (calculated)is not an editable field.
My guess is that the "Shipping Carrier 1" corolates with my chosen preference in my eBay preferences. The question is-What do I enter in the field that can be edited i.e. the one following the "Shipping Carrier 1" so that your program picks up the calculated field in my preferences.
The the various answers, my guess is you can't. However, please read the whole posting before answering. I was refering to Inventory importer not just a listing.
Thank you
Paula

Hello again
I just went through both of the new importers and I may have been confusing things by being blond and senior at the same time.
The field that I need to address is a new one. "Shipping Carrier 1 Amount"
what is entered in the editable field when that is chosen and you want to use the calculated field?
Thank you

Hello Paula,

What I meant to say was that, in order to have calculated shipping as option 1 when importing your inventory items, you need to enter USPS Priority (calculated) in a column that matches "Shipping 1 Carrier", and nothing in the column that matches "Shipping 1 Amount".

In the new batch importer, these fields are named "Shipping carrier 1" and "Shipping cost 1" respectively.
