I just updated all my auctions. Different prices, etc. My on-line inventory is way out of date. I'd like to upload these new auctions to Pending and then edit the auctions to include odds and ends like cross-merchandising, placing in Vendio store, etc.
I want to wipe out current store listings and on-line inventory just before populating with these new listings.
I assume the store and on-line inventory will get the items when these auctions are launched from Pending.
Is there anything wrong with this logic?
I don't suppose there is some trick where I can launch a batch of 300 auctions, all "next upload" yet stop them all from getting beyond Pending?
Since you will be editing all of these items online from the pending section, you will have the option during editing to check the 'save to inventory' box which will send them to inventory for you, for future use, and with your most recent changes.
Outside of scheduling all of your items to list at a later date before you upload, then cancelling those items in bulk from the pending section, the only other workaround would be to make them fail on purpose.
Before you upload all of these items with the 'launch now' option, go to the My Account tab, click on the Auction Site Accounts link and use the edit link next to your stored eBay ID to change your password to something incorrect. Save the change, and upload all of your items. Once they hit the pending section and attempt to process, eBay will reject them all and they will all remain in your pending section for you to work on as needed.
You can then go back, correct your password, make your changes (while saving to inventory) and resubmit them once you are ready. Note that your online inventory will only indicate a quantity at auction if you list the items from inventory directly once you have saved them there. Listing these originals that are sitting in pending will not make your online inventory track their sales or indicate if there is a certain quantity 'at auction.'
