Start banner synchronization.
Number of successful listing uploads: 0.
Synchronization failed - Unable to resolve server name
There is a problem with starting the sync process.
Please make sure that the values entered for Proxy Host and Port under the SMPro menu entry Edit > Preferences are correct.
If proxy settings are correct, please check the Announcements page on the Vendio site.
I apologize for the delay in my response. I removed your other thread so that we can keep all responses to one thread. What do you use as your firewall? Make sure you allow access to Vendio, regardless if you have it on or not -- that way we know it is not the firewall causing problems. If you are sure your ISP does not use a proxy then please go to the Preferences icon in Pro and make sure the proxy button is unchecked. Let us know the results of this.

Sonya

Hello whoffler -- Please see my thread titled "Can' Sync - Is Vendio using blocked Port 135" -- I'm having the exact same problem you describe
--and am also connecting via cable modem
--did the same thing you describe, disable firewall
--I also set up my Norton firewall to allow all access to Vendio servers
And I DON'T THINK ANY OF THE RESPONSES WE'VE GOTTEN ON THIS FORUM ARE ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM.
C'mon guys, can't you give us some real information or help here? I haven't been able to sync to Vendio in over ten days!

Hello whoffler,
Can you tell us what firewall/virus checker you are using? Is it Norton AV? We are not sure at this point what is causing the problem as it is not a global problem.

Also, I'm sure this is not the case, but please check your system for evidence of the MS Blaster or Welchia/Nachi worm as these can cause system problems.
