Hi
The answer to this may be obvious to others but I'm not positive.
I have a peer to peer network with one computer having an always on internet link. The internet link is not accessible by the other computer.
Will everything work if I install SMP on the second computer and have my employee use the inventory importer to create batches then transfer ONLY the batches to the computer with the internet connection, at which time I would add the photos and sync?
I can't see why this wouldn't work but want some reassurance that I am not missing something. I presume that I would only have to move the batch files from the batches directory on one computer to the batches directory on the other computer.
Do you agree this should work?
Thanks
Paula

Good Morning
I have launched smp on the second computer and I realized that I had another question. If I wanted my assistant to add the photos and she got them off my couputer, when I checked the batch from my computer and then launched it from my computer would the path the images be mixed up? I think it would but I am not sure.
If this would work, I can copy the files for images to her HD and then back to my HD before launching and before I do anything so that all images were "together" prior to launching... which would work as long as the path is ok from her computer, which I don't think it would be...
Any thoughts or have I confused everything?
Thank you
Paula

Hello Paula,
The path for the images is unrelated to the computer they originated from. All of the images added to either machine will upload to the same account, so regardless of which they originated from - the path is the same.

Thank you Christopher!
Let me be sure we are saying the same thing...
Computer A creates batches and attaches photos from local C: The batch will be fine.
Computer B creates batches and attaches photos from network drive X: The batch is moved to Computer A's Hard drive and launched form local C:
Everything will launch ok?
Thanks Paula

Hi
Here is my network problem.
We were able to work around the login problems by coping files from my computer to the other computer.
However, as I feared would happen. The pictures that were attached to the auctions were not present when the batch was opened on my machine.
Do you have any ideas for a solution for this. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I was afraid this would happen.
Christopher was incorrect when he said, "The path for the images is unrelated to the computer they originated from. All of the images added to either machine will upload to the same account, so regardless of which they originated from - the path is the same" The path is important or I need to copy some files from one computer to the other... Do you know which file should have been copied so that the images were available.
Thank you
Paula

Hello Paula,
You must have all the images added to the Image Bar on the computer doing the synchronization. After copying batches, and prior to synchronizing, please add all the images used by computer B (that w/o Internet connection) to the Image Bar on computer A.
You should then be able to open the copied batches without error, and during the synchronization both images and listings will upload to your Vendio account.
