I have tried everything to get the PayPal "Pay Now" button in my listings and I am ready to give up. I have always had the PayPal logo in the past, but no more. This has caused a lot of confusion with my buyers and I have had to send PayPal Invoices to my buyers in many instances as they no longer understand how to pay me.
This has slowed down the payment and shipping process and I really like to make sure my buyers get their items as quickly as possible.
I have set my PayPal setting on the insert the logos automatically, but then my auctions won't launch and I get an error message and have to change my eBay preferences. But when I change my eBay preferences, my PayPal logo insertion turns off! And if I turn my PayPal logo insertion back on, it doesn't work anyway.
Should I insert a manual PayPal logo in my description? I am at my wit's end but I don't want to do anything that will create further confusion.

Hello Genie,
Since Paypal has been integrated with eBay, there are a few different options to apply a Paypal logo to your listing. Please let us know what you prefer:
1. A Paypal logo in the body of your description only, with no eBay references to Paypal in your ad and no "Pay Now" button when your listing closes (this is recommended if you are using Vendio Checkout.)
2. A Paypal logo under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with the wording "This seller prefers Paypal" inserted and the "Pay Now" button leading to Paypal only when the listing closes (this will also enable your buyers to go through Paypal checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
3. A Paypal logo under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with the wording "This seller prefers Paypal" inserted and the "Pay Now" button presenting Paypal and all other payment methods when the listing closes (this will enable your buyers to go through eBay's checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
4. A Paypal logo only under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with no "seller prefers Paypal" wording and the "Pay Now" button leading to Paypal only when the listing closes (this will also enable your buyers to go through Paypal checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
5. A Paypal logo only under "Payment Methods Accepted" in your listings (in addition to the one inserted into the body of your description by our system), with no "seller prefers Paypal" wording and with the "Pay Now" button presenting Paypal and all other payment methods when the listing closes (this will enable your buyers to go through eBay's checkout and may interfere with your Vendio Checkout process.)
Please let us know what you prefer, and we will let you know how to proceed.

I could have written the top line. I have had buyers complaining that they can't paypal me because there is not a button.
Ok I do not use ebay's checkout.
I do not use vendio checkout
I DO use salesmanage pro to list my auctions through vendio and I send my own end of auction notice. Many time the shipping is for 2 - 3 pounds and depends on priority zones.
so not sure which options to chose, i understand that they are now forcing us to use their checkout

Hi Christopher,
I have read all the options and I think it is #2 that would be best for me, as I do not accept any other electronic payment methods other than PayPal. Please let me know how to proceed. Thanks, Genie

Hello, I need number 2 also, i tried to change the setting for mildreds to allow for a paypal pay it now logo to appear when the auction closes. I tried a test auction and got an error message which I do not understand. I haven't sold for a while and just started up. I had fantastic sales, and instead of listing more product to make money for all, i have wasted 3 hours trying to figure out how to get this button to show up. Please help. I use neither ebay or vendio checkout.
This is for Msgenie516 and Mildreds. Both of you will need to go to your My Account tab, to Global Preferences, and check off the "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo" option for Paypal. Unfortunately the only way to now get the Pay Now button for PayPal is to have eBay Checkout turned on.
Next, go to My eBay > Preferences > Update Payment/Checkout Preferences and choose the following:
- Show Pay Now button for PayPal only (Pay Now preference)
- Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments (PayPal preference)
This will insert a logo in Payment Methods Accepted on your eBay listings, with the "prefers PayPal" message. When your listings close, a Pay Now button for PayPal only will appear for the buyer.
