Is there a way to write templates using HTMLl instead of with the Template Designer? I want a very specific look that cannot be achieved another way. Thank you.

Hi there,

You can certainly create your own template by using HTML, and utilize the "blank" template in SM Pro. I'm not sure if you are aware of our custom template workshop online - this system will allow you to easily create your own custom template with your logos, graphics, etc. Once the template is created, you can synch it down into SM Pro and it will be available in your template list (no copy/pasting HTML or hassles with image placement.) Here is the link to our online template preferences page:

Please let us know if you have any questions about this.

Thanks,

Diana

Yes, I am aware of the Template Workshop site. However, the template that I wish to create is a bit more complex than the Template Workshop will allow.

I am using the latest version of Sales Manager Pro. Could someone please walk me through where to put the HTML? Is there a place to enter in custom HTML in the Template Workshop or is there a specific location on the harddrive where I can store a custome template to be uploaded?

Also, i've noticed that in the templates stored on the hard drive in the program folder, that there are specific variable names in the code such as %%AW_Title_Data%%, is there an online reference to all the variables available?

Thank you.

Hello,

Custom templates have to be created online, in the workshop. Once you've created and saved a template, you can get it into Pro by synchronizing.

Unfortunately a reference to variables is not available. The best option for you would be the one mentioned above. You can also try creating a profile in Pro, and applying the profile to new listings -- however if you want to use images you will need to put the URLs to your images within that HTML in the appropriate places.

Regards,

Sonya
