Hi
Over the past week I have taken the time to use the promote items "section."
Unknown to me it wasn't working.
I just used it for all the size 16 items in my + evening folder. I choose 4 size 16 items in other folders to promote. I then entered a 10% discount.
I was suspicious because I kept thinking I had used the promote items option on all the new items I have launched of the past 2 weeks. So I checked to see if the promote items were there by opening the size 16 item. There was only one item listed. The three others were blank. Please help as I want to use this feature for the holidays!

Hi Paula,

It should show up in checkout if that item is available in your store. If it is not, then it won't show up in the promote feature. Let us know if this is not true for your items.

Thank you for your prompt reply!
All items are in my store.
Previously, if I went and looked at an inventory item; I would see all the items listed for promo on the right side of the first screen. Now it only shows one item and the other 3 slots are blank; even though I had just filled all 4 slots and saved the record.
I don't think you are understanding what I am trying to say
Please go look at one of the items under my evening folder. You will see only one item listed to promo. Please click the promote button and select any 4 items in inventory and click save and check that they now show under the promo part on the right side; click save as you leave that item. Then go back in and see if they were saved.
Mine were not and they should have been.

Hello pgmeunier,

I logged into your account, and in the Evening category I was able to successfully add two cross-promo items to this:

16W New Plus Size DKNY Beaded Evening Pant NR

Please check the inventory item and let me know if you see these, and also let us know if you are having the same problem when you use Internet Explorer vs. Netscape.

Here is what I found:
In Netscape, I could not see what you had added. I refreshed and still nothing. I went to the caftan folder and selected all. I then clicked promote and selected 4 swimsuits. I closed. I went and opened a caftan and there was nothing there.

In Explorer, I could see what you added but it took a full 2 minutes to download. I have a satellite connection and I am very fast to download. I then went to caftans and selected all. I clicked promote and selected 4 swimsuits. I then opened a caftan and the chosen swimsuits were there.

My problems are:
Explorer crashes on a daily basis and there is no tech support. I do have all the updates. Additionally, it can take up to 5 minutes to load an inventory page.

Netscape is fast but there is no tech support for me to ask why this is happening.

Any suggestions?

We monitor these forums as best we can, but at times we may miss a post. I am sorry if we overlooked your post. Feel free to remind us if your question has gone unanswered for more than a day.

I am going to have to look into this a little more, as I do not know why this would be happening. What version of Internet Explorer do you use?

Ok, Explorer is version 6.0.2800.166.xpsp2.030422-1633IC Kind of silly, huh?

Netscape is version 7.1

Could you also help me with my network problem?
