Hi
After doing everything I describe below, when I launched auctions that had multuable items, the inventory module tells me that multuables were launched. I checked my auctions and only one item actually launched but what is going on with the inventory module? Please look in my Outerware file in inventory to see what I am talking about...

****************************************

I just spent 4 hours uploading through smp; canceling in pending; saving to inventory; deleting in pending; launching from my unfiled folder. (that was only 49 items)That is 5 minutes per auction-just to get my items into inventory and then launch them. I have a very fast connection. When I miss an item and it launches from pending but didn't get saved into inventory, I half to find it in smp and reload. Maybe the engineers would reconsider their change. I have made more mistakes this way!!!!!!!!

Hello Paula,

I have checked your Outerwear folder in inventory, and I see numerous items. Can you tell me specifically which items were affected, so I can take a look?

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana
The following sku's show more than one at auction when one is all there is at auction. The only items this happened to are ones with more than one in inventory:

817002XL
88842GOSFA
34514M4XL

Please, don't tell me you can't see it... when I launch auctions, the icons for ebay, my store and ebay stores show up in the launch screen and I don't have an eBay store. When Sonya looked, she couldn't see the eBay store icon.

Honest, I am begining to feel like I am loosing my mind!

If you find it please send it home!

Hi Diana
Have you had a chance to look at the above items?

Hi Paula,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I looked at item 817002XL, and when I do a keyword search on the title at eBay, I see 2 listings not just one - this correlates with the qty. at auction value in the inventory item. Could you have launched a duplicate of that inadvertently?

Hi Diana
Very interesting... I went back to the original file that I imported and each item has multiable items available. In the past prior to the changes to smp quantities were always dropped off to 1 when it was launched and I would have to go back and edit the quantity. there were 2 of this sku 817002XL - launched; 2 of this one 88842GOSFA - 2 launched; 4 of this one 34514M4XL - 2 launched.
Plus, these were canceled in pending and saved to inventory (see my other post on how I do things.) The default choice when launching an auction is 1. I never even look at it because that is what it is.

If you check my Caftan file in inventory, you will see that I have any where from 1-9 of an item. These always launch 1 and I don't select it. I simply accept the default.

Maybe this is an intermittent thing, again, like the eBay stores icon that keeps showing up even though it is not selected and no one (at least Sonya) can see it but me.

However, these are taking more of my time and I really need someone to fix it.

Please.

Thank you
Paula

I can tell you that the best thing Vendio could do is have customer service, marketing and whoever makes decisions regarding inventory and other cumbersome areas of Sales Manager, visit at least 10 busnisses at see first hand the time and effort it takes to work around areas that need major fixing.

Inventory is a start. The next one would be that sku#'s are showed in all screens. I am dumbfounded that Vendio does not realize the importance of sku numbers..they are the life blood of inventory. Not showing them in all areas including post sale, unsold items, etc. is unbeliveable.

Another major source of problems is that items that are paid from Paypal and are automatically put into items to ship. At the very least these items should be put into a holding area so that invoices can be printed without trying to figure what invoices have already been printed, but not shipped. Just this one area takes many hours to sort out every week.

Another major flaw is searching in Post Sale and Sales Manager in general. Putting in words that are in Titles is at the very best a hit or miss tactic. The ability to search by putting in any string of words that are in the title should give results exactly like it does in ebays search. There should also be an area to search even when an item is not in post sale. If an item has been listed in Vendio, we should be able to search for it, regardless if it sold.

Export shipping for Dazzle is completely unfunctional. I will bet there is not one person using this area because no one at Vendio has taken the time so see if it works in the real world. Dazzle should add addresses so that weights and methods of shipping can be changed. All Dazzle items go directly to the print page with no ability to make even one change. We have never had the ability to take advantage of this important feature and probably no one else as well.

Bottom line is that the frustration that you see on a daily basis is not because we like complaining. It is because it takes so long to do things that could be fixed. Just a little time with your customers would open your eyes to our real problems and hopefully your real fixes.

These are only some of the real problems we face on a daily basis. Come to our business and see for yourself. I want to help you make changes...real changes...what do you think?

Hello again
Was this fixed recently?
The reason I ask is I just uploaded a batch and a screen popped up telling me that the quantity could only be one.
I think I want to say thank you but it is one more thing I have to remember to do when I save to inventory.
I would like for Christmas an inventory system that wasn't quite so laborious.
Happy Holidays!

Hello,

We plan to make changes with inventory. Paula -- if you are still having trouble with the quantities at auction not matching please let me know. It also just occured to me where you may have seen the eBay store, eBay and Vendio stores icons. When you select an inventory item and hit launch and go on to the next screen, is that where you are seeing it? If the answer is yes -- what that means is that your item is okay to be launched on all those venues but it will not launch to all of those venues. Whatever venue you pick from the drop down, it will launch to there.

Regards,

Sonya
