Please tell me what to do to get SMPro 6 to synchronize. When I tried to synch. after installing it, it tells me "Warning""action failed""bad response from server".
I can't load any auctions until this is fixed.
What do I need to do? Maybe uninstall smpro 5?
If you are receiving a synchronization error on upload, please check the following:
1. Before you synch, please verify that you are connected to the internet and that your connection has not timed out.
2. If you are not entering the internet from a proxy server specified in your browser, from your toolbar, select "Edit", "Preferences", then "Connection". Make sure that the "connect using proxy" box is unchecked.
3. If your browser is set to access the internet through a proxy server, please make sure that the Proxy Host/Proxy Port settings within your browser match those within SM Pro.
4. Check your image file names, and make sure that they are saved as jpeg images (we highly recommend saving your images as jpegs due to size and compatibility issues.)
5. Try lowering the security level in any anti-virus or firewall software that you may be using. This type of software can interfere with synchronizations if the security level is set at high or medium-high.
6. Check your image file sizes, and make sure that your images do not exceed 40kb apiece. Large images can cause an upload to fail.
7. If you are uploading a large batch, try splitting it up into smaller batches of no more than 10 auctions. If your ISP is experiencing any connectivity problems, a large batch may cause your upload to fail.

Thanks for your fast reply, but it didn't help.
I tried turning off all firewalls, etc. no luck.
I called my internet server - all is well there.
This is what happens: I install #6 it says "set up complete click finish" when I do that up comes smpro uses auctions sync.tech. to download your images & preferenses, would I like to download these now?? YES But, then it comes up with the Warning Bad response from server.
?Do I need to uninstall every thing and start new?
were do I find your IP address? then I could add it to allowed list. just to make sure that is not the problem.
OR
Can I just unistall #6 and go back to 5.5???? After working on this last night and most of today I just want my old version back - it worked.

Still can not get pass that warning action failed, bad response from server. My internet providers says again that it is not a problem at their end. It must be Vendio. Maybe a firewall problem but I disconnected it.
Any other help would be appreciated.
Tomorrow I will uninstall all SMPros and try to reload the 5.5 that I saw you had on another thread.
Wish I could find the problem.
If you look in your Vendio directory on your computer where Pro is installed, you should find an ampro.log file there. If you send that to us at [email protected] we can have engineering take a look at it, so we can determine what is causing the synchronization problems. Please let us know if you need any more assistance with Pro.

Thank you for getting back to me. I tried SMPro one more time, clicked to synchronize and "it worked"! I have no idea why, but it WORKED. I just listed one auction to try it out and it seems just fine. Wish I knew what the problem was for the last 24 hours, but it is working fine now - so I thank you for your support.
