Hello,
Several times today while I was trying to post ads, Sales Manager Pro would shut down when I hit the "categories" button... I also got error messages like this one "Ampro has caused an error in MSVBVM60.DLL Ampro will close now"... Does anyone know how to fix this? I just updated recently to 6.0 and wonder if I should start over again... Thanks for any help...

Hello Rick,

1. Please go to the Windows Update site (click Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu). Install the critical updates and Service Packs the site recommends, especially those for Windows and Internet Explorer.

2. Install also Visual Basic 6.0 SP5 Run-Time Files. The link to this kit is:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/VBRun60sp5.exe

3. If the program is still not working properly, please uninstall and install SM Pro again.

Thanks,

-Radu

Thanks Radu,

I tried what you suggested. That didn't fix it. Then I reinstalled the Sales Manager Pro program and brought it back up. But now it won't sync at all. I keep getting the error message "Synchronization Failed - Bad Response From Server". When I click on details, I get the following info:

"Start banner synchronization.
Banner synchronized.
Start announcements synchronization.
Announcements synchronized.
Comparing local and online counters.
Local and online counters are identical.
Comparing local and online templates.
Number of successful listing uploads: 0.
Synchronization failed - Bad response from server"

What should I do now? Thanks... Rick

Ok Radu, I went back and checked my preferences. I unchecked the box "connect using Proxy". I sync'd just fine after that and everything seems to be working fine... Thanks much for your help... Take care... Rick
