I am frustrated. You guys really have the potential to do something great hear but the bugs and complications are numerous. I’ve subscribed to sales manager pro and the store hoping that I could create one place to print and managed orders from my web site and from EBay. The problem is that when you go into orders awaiting payment you get the items individually listed. This means you have to go into each item and compare it with Ebay to see if they paid or not.

The calculated shipping feature is really a joke. There is no way an EBayer can calculate shipping and handling until they check out. Do you have any idea how much email this generates? AND it is proven that people are less likely to bid unless they know what the shipping charges are. You really need to sharpen your pencils on this one and come up with a solution.

Sale Manager Pro offline version should let you create batches but it should also let you edit them quickly without going into each item. I then added items to my store within the same batch and created duplicates. You need a better interface for the store.

The biggest hassle has been trying to use my OWN MERCHANT account. I don’t think it’s fair to offer one of your UPSELLS to Verisign. If a merchant already has a merchant account then way can’t they use it?

Hi Tamstrees,

I am sorry to hear of your frustrations, let me see if I can shed some light on the situation for you and make things easier.

Vendio Checkout is not integrated with eBay seller manager. Unfortunately we do not yet have a shipping calculator to insert in listings, but I have suggested to you before that you can get around this issue by locating one online, and inserting the HTML for it in the item description box. This would cut down on email from customers asking how much to ship, until we offer a shipping calculator (and we will -- unfortunately it's not available right at the moment).

You can edit items in bulk in batches, in Pro. What do you need to edit, that is giving you difficulty?

Regarding merchant accounts, Verisign is integrated with our post sale so it does present the smoothest option. You can use your own merchant account but you'll have to handle getting the credit card payments from customers, processing them, and then marking off the appropriate steps in post sale. Who do you use as your merchant? I can put in a suggestion to have it integrated with our system. The more unique suggestions we have for a feature, the better chance of it becoming an option as we make our feature upgrades and changes based on user feedback.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Sonya

check my other post. This is my biggest frustration with vendio. I like their cart but if I want to use my own merchant account I have to include a telephone number for them to call in.

Even if Vendio offer a place on thier check out where a person could put in thier credit card info so that we can manually process, that would be ok. Not the best but better then what they have now. Instead they want you sign-up to verisign so they can make the points on your processing. Nothing wrong with upselling but when you feel like you're already paying for services, it would be nice not to feellike you MUST comply. They allowed for Pay Pal mainly because if they didn't they'd get NO EBAY action.

auctioncheckout lets you use your own merchant account for Ebay but it won't work in Vendios cart. I might keep using sm pro, the cart here but find another check out solution for Ebay. This is just unfair and turning out to be costly. Why put my auction people through these hoops if they end up going through Pay Pal anyhow?

i know that i can do cc on my other site as an offsite sale if people will call me and give me their # but have not included that option in vendio/ebay items....maybe i will....

I would like to add a little insight/
1. i have been with AW and then vendio since early 1999....used another imaging co that charged .50 per image and half the time it was wrong....then found AW......
I have had an AW store for over a year (I think) had a few glitches but have found support quick to respond.
as to other sites.....
I am with bidville, ebay, amazon, tias, earthling, go antiques, yahoo and half....

////i have been with and closed for various reasons -mostly due to lack of sales - ruby lane (no comment)- trocadero (no sales) -abe books -(too expensive)
and at least 8 or 9 other sites that were free but eventually folded.....very few sales //
i have used mister lister/turbo lister/bidville bulk lister/yahoo bulk lister/aw bulk lister/and have looked into andale....

half's shutting down necessitated another venue for my books.....hence vendio and ebay stores....
/////

i have a merchant acct. on another site....do paypal .quit the yahoo pay direct and one other they had......also do western union....

/////
my opinion for what its worth
ebay turbo (i was setting it up for free listing days -getting all my ducks in a row so to speak and what happened) couldn't upload ...bdetween ebay and the bulk on free day.....also lost ALL listings due to glitch of some sort....
////
yahoo bulk and bidville bulk - no pics have to add later....

aw /vendio bulk always worked....
- - -
sales -at best my tias shop has done well....the earthling for closeouts and books not bad.....

vendio store is doing better and ebay store picking up since they include store material into their search mechanism......

so now...i upgraded my vendio servic e and look forward to a smoother with good inventory facilities along with imaging that will work well on those busy days....we shall see...
i am also bonded on all auctions in my ebay store to 10000.00(was with the other co ebay has and dropped out when they refused to negotiat an eroneous neg on a 1.50 item unless i paid them 20.00....(buyer apologized in feedback addition later but still showed neg)

the extra i pay for bonding....hosting on vendio sales %/ebay % and store costs for both is worth the $ if it results in more sales......

i hope your problems with the system work out - i have a few now and then but as long as they don'/t loose all my inventory and pics, i'm happy....at least when my system crashes i have it in cyberspace.....(happened 3 yrs ago when i had everything on my comp......believe me cyberspace sites more reliable)

i
