Not sure if this has been discussed in prior topics but I'm having a very annoying problem receiving notification of payment received from PayPal when payment is made via my Mailstep account. For the past two weeks these notices arrive sometimes 5 days behind the actual payment, creating momentary confusion while I have to open up both PayPal & Vendio accounts to see what in the heck is happening? I went to both PayPal & Vendio to double check notification settings and nothing is changed. My sense is that there is some latency problem with Mailstep as my other email address processes the notification instantly. Any ideas on why this is happening? And any suggestions on how to resolve this??

Hello,

We are now using eBay Notifications to register the closure of a Buy It Now or Fixed-Price item. We have also implemented PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notifications) which will register your PayPal payments. We will be phasing out Mailstep shortly, and if you would like to change your eBay email address or eliminate the Mailstep address at PayPal, please do the following:

1. At eBay, simply update the email address. Then go to your Vendio preferences under My Account -> Auction Site Accounts and update your eBay ID entry (this will require a login at eBay.)

2. For PayPal IPN, please refer to this URL for more information and setup directions:

https://secure.vendio.com/my/acct/mailstep.html

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Please also keep in mind that PayPal experienced some problems this week that most likely contributed to the delay in receiving notifications, etc. According to them it has now been corrected.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks so much Sonya. When I went to check my email notifications, all primaries via Vendio, PayPal & eBay were already set for my current yahoo email address. I'm not sure if there are other steps I must include or not?

Also, in my PayPal preferences, if I turn on the "include PayPal preferred" button in all of my auctions, will I still receive notifications at Vendio? I recall this was a hornet's nest here a while back but have had customers tell me they'd prefer paying immediately after the auction directly through PayPal. Believe it or not, some find Vendio's checkout system cumbersome. (I've used it myself in logging in for customers paying with cash or money orders and found it to be pretty simple!)

Hello,

The only place to change it now then is in your global preferences here in Vendio. Click the My Account link, then the Global Preferences.

Change it from your mailstep address to your Yahoo address, then save the changes.

"Also, in my PayPal preferences, if I turn on the "include PayPal preferred" button in all of my auctions, will I still receive notifications at Vendio?"

You will still receive notifications with this enabled.
Regards,
Christopher
