I do hope that the 4 inch tall "Macromedia / Gallery" splash is a temporary thing. I feel it is way too obtrusive- the size of the display AND where it is placed..Right smack in the middle of my listing perhaps causing a potential buyer to be distracted...
Squeeze it down; move it or get rid of it. Yesterday wouldn't be too soon.

Hello --
In order for the Vendio Gallery to display properly on your listings, anyone viewing your listings (yourself and buyers) must have Macromedia Flash Player installed on their systems. Upon initial page load, if there is no Flash Player installed, a grey box appears in place of the Gallery itself, indicating where you can download the latest Flash Player from Macromedia (see the example screenshot below).
If you are seeing that grey box, that means we do not detect that you have Flash installed on your system. If you want to change where the Gallery (and this box, in cases where we cannot detect a flash player) is inserted in your listings, you can change your "Placement" options in your Gallery Preferences. Gallery can be automatically placed at the top or bottom of your listings, or you can choose to insert it manually into your listings by copying and pasting the Gallery code.
Please let us know if there is any other information we can provide.

Oh, I know the reason for the notice; that is not the question or the point of this thread. The point is 'why' so large and right in the middle of my listing. As earlier mentioned it is distracting from what the potential buyer is trying to do- look at my listing.
There are other more tasteful places to put this notice.
I appreciate Vendio's efforts in this regard; but the notice needs to be elsewhere.

bragassa,
html, like what is allowed on eBay doesn't work this way. Basically, if you want the gallery on the top of a page, you need to write html that reserves the space for the elements. And in this case, when flash isn't there we have to put something there that fits the same geometric space.
Basically, we're limited as to how dynamic the html can be on an eBay description -- and in this case, we can't selectively place the announcement somewhere else when no flash is detected.
