Thanks for writing. It would help us if you could have one or two examples to help illustrate what you are talking about. Right now, your post is too vague to know what's really going on. If you have an active auction with this problem, go ahead and let us know which it is. If you don't have one, you can schedule an auction to launch and then save it to your pending section. Then we can see the problem there.

Hello,

I checked your inventory item and it has the Fall template applied as the template for the item. Items in your inventory are saved with a template already attached to them so your default template in Global Preferences won't apply to items you list from inventory, or list with an inventory profile. You would need to edit the site specifics for eBay to change that template, or when you apply this profile to items, change the template on the Create Listing page.

Live items have to be edited if you want to make changes. Changing the default online, or editing Vendio inventory, won't affect those items that are already live.

Sonya

this must be a glitch in your bulk listing system......if i want to list 100 items from my inventory using your launch button - are you telling me that my account choice of template (Custom Templates - Design your own templates!) set as a specific default WILL NOT change the template when bulk listing?

- - -
are you telling me that i have to go into EACH new launch listing and CHANGE from previous template?

- - -
you used to have an icon under bulk launch that allowed a change for all of them with one click on top....now the only icon that shows up isa clock to schedule listing times....
- - -
I HAVE THIS ACCOUNT TO SIMPLIFY BULK LISTING OF SEVERAL HUNDRED ITEMS AT ONCE...AND WANTED UNIFORM TEMPLATES DURING SPECIFIC DATES OF THE SEASON.....THIS IS WHY I AM USING YOUR SYSTEM FOR EASE IN BULK LOADING AND UNIFORM TEMPLATES WHEN I LIST -I WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE TEMPLATES ON A BULK LOADING BASIS ACCORDING TO SEASONS....AS OPPOSED TO EBAY'S TURBOLOADER.

---

IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN CHECK ON THAT AND ADJUST YOUR BULK SET UP? you used to have it,

thanx cj

as an example - i just listed http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4526424254&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT making template changes on an individual ebay specifics (within inventory section)

and these two http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4526424902&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4526424919&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

using the bulk loader launch button (the old fall template showed up (despite the fact that my global default preferences are the black page)

you need a button on bulk loader launch to change all the templates at once.....you had that in the Fall ....thanx cj

Hello,

Your default and global preferences for listings still only apply to items as you create them anew.

You can however still bulk edit the template in Pro before you upload a batch.

When you are looking at this batch of items, select all items on the page and then click the edit button at the bottom of the page. On the edit page change the selected template only and click ok. This will carry over into all selected listings in the batch.

Note that this will be the saved template for this batch now and in the future, you will need to manually change them (in bulk if needed) to anything else if needed.

Christopher

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion with the Sales Manager Pro software. You had posted this question into the Pro forum so I had given advice based on that system.

What Sonya mentioned before is correct. While you can make changes to your eBay preferences as to how much your default shipping costs are, how many days the auction should run and which template used are editable - default settings are used to create new items. Once created and saved, that data remains in tact even if you change your default settings for new items.

Anything you have in inventory will retain its own unique information unless manually edited.

You have a few options to make changes to the template in bulk while listing. We have never offered this in the online Sales Manager, but the new version of the Sales Manager (Inventory Edition) and the Sales Manager Pro software both have the ability to bulk edit itmes you want to list.

If your used to doing it from the online tools, switching to the inventory edition is probably the best thing for you, especially for when you travel as you can access this information from any computer and not just the one you installed the program to.

You can switch to the inventory edition of Sales Manager here.

Christopher

Hello,

Online and offline inventory do not synchronize so I would not suggest that you try to incorporate Pro into the mix yet if you are used to doing items online. A couple good things to remember when scheduling out of inventory is to make sure your category is valid and that you have the right template on the item. Unfortunately these are individual settings so the global defaults don't apply to already created inventory listings.

You are welcome to try downloading the inventory and importing it into Pro, changing things there and then uploading them online. To export your online inventory, enter this URL into your browser's address bar:

http://www.vendio.com/my/client/selectdump.html

The inventory will be exported as a .csv file which can be used for import to Sales Manager Pro. Please let us know if you have trouble exporting your inventory.

To import this inventory into Pro, please follow the steps here:

http://www.vendio.com/help/ampro/ampro-howto_v50_files.html#import

Good luck and let us know if you need more assistance with this.

Regards,

Sonya

ok TO RECOUP SO I UNDERSTAND - now have all inventory into smprobulkloader and figured out how to batch so i can send up (did 400 this am)

so now next ?.....am now using blank template in new batch set up....so how do i change ALL MY INVENTORY ITEMS ONLINE TO BLANK TEMPLATE OR DO I HAVE TO DELETE THEM ALL AND REDO ONE BY ONE????

I WILL ADD - YOU USED TO HAVE A TEMPLATE ICON FOR CHANGING THE TEMPLATES IN THE INVENTORY LAUNCH BUTTON SECTION LAST FALL.....WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT ONE....NOW THERE IS ONLY A LUNCH CLOCK ICON....

Hello,

As we mentioned previously, there is no way to edit all your online inventory items in bulk to change the template. You will still have to do those one by one online. What are you planning to do with this batch that you created? It's not going to go directly into your online inventory, the only way to get those into your online inventory is if you launch them as Vendio store items with a quantity in store of 0.

Regarding this statement: "I WILL ADD - YOU USED TO HAVE A TEMPLATE ICON FOR CHANGING THE TEMPLATES IN THE INVENTORY LAUNCH BUTTON SECTION LAST FALL.....WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT ONE....NOW THERE IS ONLY A LUNCH CLOCK ICON.... "

I am not sure that I follow. Are you referring to Pro or Online Inventory? Online inventory never had an option to change templates in bulk. Pro has an option where you can highlight everything in a batch, click the Edit button, go to the eBay Site Information tab and change the template for all items at once.

Sonya

Hello,

Pro is an offline tool that you can do some bulk editing in -- when you have batch items. I am sorry if this is getting confusing. Online has never had an option to bulk change templates. The only possible way to do that is if you were doing listings in Sales Manager Pro.

between 9/12/04 and 9/13/04 i launched 1000 listings on ebay via my online inventory at that time YOU DID have a template change icon in your bulk online listing...however you don't have it now. On 8/27/04 i changed my service plan to 1240521226 Smgr Power Plan Variable Rate (pro-rated 18 days) 08/27 08/28 17.39 / in anticipation of doing multiple bulk listings from my online vendio site.
the only thing i had to change on a one on one basis was the ebay specifics in my inventory which i did in december after my double by pass - my intention was to have everything ready to do ebay store multiple listings.
now it is unfortunate that you do not have the facilities now to change template on a bulk listing basis online....I SINCERELY HOPE YOU WILL CONSIDER DOING IT.
